Bounty hunting is no easy task, just ask Steve Spiegel and the other crew members of the Bebop. Live-action adaptations are becoming almost a trend among many popular animated series likeOne Piece,Resident Evil, and the space adventure animeCowboy Bebop. Netflix announced the live-actionCowboy Bebopshow a long time ago, and now the streamer is filling fans in on all the important information about the show.
Netflix’s Geeked account on Twitter recently shared a short video walking through the incredible cast for the live-actionCowboy Bebopshow and what else to expect from the series. Somefirst-time images of theCowboy Bebopcharactersin costume are also shared throughout the video. The show its self will debut in November on Netflix, with hopefully a trailer coming soon.

The video confirms John Cho (and his luxurious hair) will play bounty hunter Spike Spiegel, Mustafa Shakir will star as former investigator Jet Black, Geoff Stults portrays Jet’s former partner Chalmers, and Daniella Pineda (Jurassic World: Dominion) rounds out the main cast as bounty hunter Faye Valentine. Even the real corgi set to play the adorable pup Ein was shown in the video. Cast members were also named for the characters Vicious (Alex Hassel), Shin (Ann Truong), Lin (Hoa Xuande), Julia (Elena Satine), Mao (Rachel House), Ana (Tamara Tunie), and Gren (Mason Alexander Park).
Netflix Geeked confirms that extra measures have been taken in the filming of the live action-series to ensure that the new show will stay true to the storylines and the original creator’s vision. As an added specialty,composer Yoko Kannowill return with Tank! to put together another funky bass-driven soundtrack. Kanno’s original soundtrack, especially the opening theme, was an important part of what made theCowboy Bebopanime show so outstanding in the first place. Images showing the cast in costume look like they jumped right out of the anime. It seems the Cowboys are back and ready for their next bounty.
Cowboy Bebopdefined its own contribution to animewith a unique futuristic neo-noir western theme and dynamic characters. The anime series is incredible and seems like a perfect franchise to adapt as a live-action show. The cyberpunk sci-fi-driven show is considered one of the best anime ever but only ran for twenty-six episodes in 1999-2001. Nothing has been done with the show since then and a live-action series is a perfect way to bring the story back to life in more ways than one.
