The initialMetal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eatertrailer showed off Naked Snake himself sneaking around in a beautifully rendered jungle environment, which also reveled in the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5. While no official gameplay was shown, excitement could immediately be felt within theMetal Gearcommunity, with newer entries in the series, like 2018’sMetal Gear Survive,leaving a sour taste in some players' mouths. Konami revealed more information about the game during the 2024 Xbox Games Showcase, with pre-orders forMetal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eaternow open to all.
Special editions of video games are nothing new, and Konami’sMetal Gear Solid 3remake is no exception. Multiple editions wereunveiled following the Xbox Games Showcase, with a Deluxe and Day One edition available for pre-order. A Collector’s Edition is also available, which includes a variety of items and special bonuses, like a mini terrarium based on the iconic Virtuous Mission and a fake ID badge Snake uses in the game.

The limited Day One Edition contains the full game plus extra downloadable content that will be “revealed later.” Fans who purchase the Deluxe Edition ofthe upcomingMetal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eatercan expect to receive all the contents of the Day One Edition, a shiny Steelbook, more downloadable content, a keychain, a FOX Unit patch, and art cards.
