Lokiwas the first true overarching villain of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, playing an important role in the Thor movies before he rose to power inThe Avengers. He was the lovable rogue who seemed pure evil at first but as the movies rolled on, it was clear he had a good side too. To call his life complicated would be an understatement.

It was only a matter of time until he got his own series.Marvelfans seemed to enjoy this six-episode experience, but it was not without faults. There are a few plot holes that don’t make sense if thought about too long. There are also a lot of unexplained cliffhangers so let’s dive deep and attempt to figure them all out.
6When Does Loki Really Take Place?
Let’s begin with the titular Loki and his place in the show and in the MCU.The first episodebegins during the events ofThe Avengers. One may think that’s when these events take place but the TVA doesn’t seem to have a direct correlation to a specific time period. Why the timeline matters has to do with what happens at the end of the show, where Loki finds himself in an alternate version of the TVA.
Loki is rumored to appear inDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnesswhich makes sense with a catch. That is still three movies away. This year’sMCUmovie lineup is set to beShang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,Eternals, and thenSpider-Man: No Way Home. The Ms. Marvel and Hawkeye shows are also supposed to be out in 2021. All of these must take place before Sylvi kills Kang otherwise, these shows would be filled with multiverse content. Maybe they still will be. That’s the big question.
5Sylvie And The TVA’s Pruning Regulations
Kang and the TVA’s order doesn’t make a lot of sense in a multitude of ways. Based on events in the show it seems like the TVA is alerted immediately when something is going to branch off from the true timeline. If that was true then why wasn’t Sylvi killed at birth? The split timeline event would be that Loki was born as a girl and not a boy.

The TVA should have gone after her as soon as she came to be. But that too doesn’t make sense even if were the case. What about the other Lokis that got to exist for long periods in their worlds. How can an alligator be Loki? There are just too many questions.
4What Happened To The Other Lokis?
There must be at least twenty Lokis in the show up to episode five. In that episode the rebel Lokis attack the three “good” Lokis in an epic battle. Who survives is never fully determined. Did anyone survive?
Then there are the remaining “good” Lokis; the alligator and the child. Presumably, the old Loki is dead after he sacrifices himself to save the main Loki and Sylvi. The boy and the alligator don’t come back into the show after the old Loki leaves them. Since there is going to be a season two it’s a safe bet that they, along with probably some ofthe bad Lokis, like the politician, will return.
3Kang And The End Of Time
Kang might be the biggest mystery of all since he is only given about half an episode’s worth of attention. How did he harness all of that power? Why did killing him create the Big Bang of splintering timelines? His death shouldn’t matter if the TVA continued to do their job.

It didn’t seem like he was actively stopping these events himself but maybe there was something about his existence that helped. Again, it’s not clear. His name is never officially revealed, other than He Who Remains. But calling him Kang is a safe bet. Right now he is supposed to return in 2023 withAnt-Man and the Wasp: Quantumaniabut that’s doesn’t mean he can’t make cameos before thatin order to fill in some more gaps.
2Where Did Ravonna Go?
WhenJudge Ravonna leavesher office saying she is going to find free will,Mobius is left by himself. That is only about halfway through the episode. This made fans believe she would return at some point in Loki but she doesn’t. She’s not even in a stinger and there is no extra stinger at the end of the show in general.
The season two stamp technically counts, but that’s more of an out-of-universe confirmation. Either way, Ravonna is clearly going to come back. Where she will return is the mystery. It could be in season two of Loki or it could be in any of the otherMarvelshows or movies. Maybe she was working for another Kang or someone else all along.
1What Is Miss Minutes?
One ofthe best conversationsin the show takes place during episode two. This has Loki ask Miss Minutes what she is, between being real or automated. The response is basically a little of both. This might be the craziest character in the MCU because she is, for all intents and purposes, a cartoon. It’s a realWho Framed Roger Rabbitsituation.
Miss Minutes canappear at will without the use of an electronic. She can also pop in and out of electronics like the computer in this very scene. At first, it seems like she is working for Kang as a creation but it’s probably more than that. It is safe to assume she existed before Kang and merely started working with him all while having her own plans. She could very well be the manifestation of the giant cloud monster. The possibilities, like the branching universes created at the end of the show, are seemingly infinite.
