With the roadmap since updated, gamers now have a better idea of when things are coming as well.

TheMarvel’s Avengersroadmap is full of different content, with players able to look forward to several different modes, missions, and cosmetic additions that will hopefully attract a larger audience for the game. Spread throughout the coming months and seasons of 2021, there is a lot to keep track of. Still, the open communication has been a great change of pace, and gamers now know to expect the following additions in Spring, Summer, and beyond.

Content Coming In Spring

Thus far, April’s biggest addition toMarvel’s Avengershas beenthe Superior Iron Man skin. Focused on an evil version of Tony Stark that appeared as a result of the Axis event in the comics, the silver skin’s unique lack of a helmet makes it stand out from Iron Man’s other armor sets. However, a gameplay addition will be coming in April as well, as the Tachyon Anamoly event will be coming to the game sometime in the next few weeks.

As shown via theupdatedMarvel’s AvengersRoadmap, the Tachyon Anomaly event will see gamers able to control the same Avengers in one group. This means that players can control four different versions of Thor or build a team with two Hawkeyes and two Ms. Marvels. Missions will also scale from power levels 1 to 100, adding a fair challenge for players of all hero levels. While this addition should prove fun,Marvel’s AvengersMay additions are even more appealing.

Next month, players will be seeing aspecial Red Room Takeover eventcentered on Black Widow. The event will see the HARM room hacked so that it dons the appearance of the Red Room where Natasha was trained, with fellow Widow Yelena Belova being behind the hack. Alongside some major bits of backstory, gamers can expect these HARM rooms to offer different kinds of challenges. The themed content should prove to be a lot of fun, and the most anticipated cosmetic addition by far will accompany it.

The veryfirst batch ofMCUskinswill debut inMarvel’s Avengersalongside the Red Room Takeover. While Crystal Dynamics has yet to confirm which Avengers will be getting skins based on the popular series of films, players do know that the outfits will be a premium purchase. As such, gamers looking to dress their heroes in the movie attires will need to have some Units ready to spend, as the costumes will surely be given the Legendary price tag.

Content Coming In Summer

Marvel’s Avengerssummer updates lack dates, though players can expect a few big things. The first is theCosmic Cube Villain Sector. As shown by the brief teaser for the mission, players will do battle against Monica Rappaccini, with the Scientist Supreme wielding the Cosmic Cube itself. A powerful object within theMarvel’s Avengersuniverse, players can expect the tool to be used as a way for the boss to alter reality. As such, she could spawn AIM bots and alter the arena around her during the battle. As for her confirmed abilities, Monica has a shield and a laser blast to throw in the direction of players.

Like other Villain Sectors, the fight should be replayable, providing a nice bit of content for players to grind out throughout the day. Another benefit of this mission is that Monica’s boss battle looks entirely unique from her previous, mech-based appearance. WithMarvel’s Avengershaving too manycopycat bosses like Maestro, this is a welcome change of pace. While more bosses are still needed to truly give the game variety, the Cosmic Cube mission seems to be a step in the right direction.

The other piece of content coming in the summer time isthe Wasteland Patrol mode. In the mode, The Avengers are dropped into the post-apocalyptic Wasteland from Future Imperfect, and players will be able to take on random quests in a small open world area. They will be free to keep exploring as long as they wish due to a lack of mission constraints, and consistent rewards can be obtained from the area. A fresh style of gameplay that sounds similar toDestiny’s version of Patrols, the areas should be a nice change of pace from the content in the game right now.

Content Coming In Fall/Winter

Finally, the War for Wakanda expansionis listed for 2021. Seen in the section of the roadmap labeled “summer and beyond,” a fall or winter release date are likely for this large piece of content. Described as the biggest update for the game, players can expect a bunch of content from this DLC. First and foremost, gamers will be able to control the king of Wakanda himself, as Black Panther will be a playable hero added in the update. While little is known about his abilities, gamers do know that the hero will be voiced by Christopher Judge, the actor who voiced Kratos in 2018’sGod of War.

Klaw will serve as the main villain in War for Wakanda, while other villains have been promised. A Klaw Faction has been promised as well, ensuring that fans will battle more than just AIM bots, while a Wakandan Jungle Biome will be added to the game. More diverse than any of the locations currently available to fight through, seeing Wakanda should be thrilling, and a fresh Outpost should only make the country feel more vibrant and alive. With War for Wakanda possibly serving asMarvel’s Avengers’ next chance, there is plenty of importance to the success of this DLC.

Finally, it is worth noting that not all theMarvel’s Avengerscontent that is currently in development can be found on the roadmap. Theupcoming Spider-Man DLC, for example, is being worked on but lacks a release window. With the character not coming until after Black Panther releases, this makes sense, though gamers may want to lower expectations about Spidey making a debut in 2021. Regardless, the known content for the game is impressive, and theMarvel’s Avengerscommunity can expect more roadmap updates to arrive in the coming months.

Marvel’s Avengersis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
