Since the game’s launch, developer People Can Fly has released numerous patches to makeOutridersa smoother experience for its players, including restoring the inventories that many players lost. The highlight of the patch notes for many players is that the sign-in process on Xbox has been improved so that it is faster and should be more reliable. Until now many players have reported drastically longer load times when playingOutriderson Xbox when compared to PlayStation or PC. The fix should be welcome by many players, especially withOutriders' success on Xbox Game Pass. The patch also includes an improved matchmaking process that will not include AFK players who have not interacted with the game in more than two minutes.
The patch also includes a variety of other smaller bug fixes for specific abilities or skills that players have reported issues with across the game. This includes the common Scrap Grenade bug that saw it stop working after a cinematic, as well as a fix to the Technomancer’s Borealis Set, although there is still a second bug with the set that the team is working on fixing. Another notable update comes to the Brood Mother’s Surge attack that has been made more visible to help players better avoid it during the fight. The patch comes after the team recently gave outcommunity appreciation packages toOutridersplayersto show thanks for the community sticking with the team while it fixes the game’s problems.
It is great to see that People Can Fly are continuing to support and improveOutriders. The patch notes for the update do list a pretty comprehensive look at all of the known issues that the development team is still investigating or working on, but it is great to see the detail and transparency the team is dedicated to sharing with its community. TheOutridersteam’s transparency hasn’t always been well received, but the game’s dedicated following seems to indicate that it is working. Hopefully, the team will be able to continue improving the game for all of its many fans.
