Hunter X Hunter, written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi, is one of the most beloved and popular manga series that has finally made its grand return after a 4-year long wait that had fans eager to return to the story. Chapter 390, the chapter preceding this week’s, was released all the way back in November 2018 and centered around one of the 14 Princes, the 3rd Prince,Zhang Lei Hui Guo Rou. This chapter, however, takes a different but expected focus.

Hunter x HunterChapter 391 is titled “Clash: part 2,” being a continuation of the first part, which was chapter 390. As expected, the story saw quite a lot more focus being thrown on the Xi-Yu members that were featured near the end of the previous chapter and expanded on their nen abilities greatly. And if there was any doubt, this chapter confirmed that the Succession Contest arc is far from being done.
Zakuro Casturd And Lynch Fullbocco
Zakuro Casturd and Lynch Fullbocco are two underlings of the Xi-Yu family that were introduced during Chapter 390 ofHunter x Hunter, Clash: part 1. Working under Hinrigh Biganduffno, these two are capable fighters, each with their own special abilities.Hunter x Hunter391 gave the readers more insight into Zakuro Casturd’s nen ability after Lynch Fullbocco questions him about it. This all goes down after they are left by Hinrigh and tasked with the missionof looking for Hisoka Morrow.
Indeed, this young man’s abilities stems from his blood, and that’s certainly something that was already known prior to this chapter. The new information fans were treated withis that his nen abilitygives his blood life-like attributes. In fact, his blood drops even have small eyes, and, based on what he says, they turn back to normal blood for about half an hour or forty minutes, or otherwise when Zakuro’s nen runs out. All this comes in handy as his ability allows him to splatter his blood to make finding Hisoka a lot easier.
The Leader, Hinrigh Biganduffno
After leaving his underlings, Zakuro Casturd and Lynch Fullbocco, Hinrigh Biganduffno heads out on his own in an attempt to track down the woman from the previous chapter, while the other to are on the lookout for Hisoka. The woman he’s on the lookout for is most likely a high-ranking member of the Heil-ly family and possibly a fierce adversary. As he is on his way to reach her, he investigates for any clue of her whereabouts, even confiscating a camera.
All throughoutHunter x Hunter 391, there is a big emphasis on showing Hinrigh Biganduffno’s nen ability, which he seems to have mastered quite well. While fans had seen a glimpse of his powers in chapter 390 when he turned two guns into snacks, they got to see even more of it in chapter 391. His ability is simple and it allows him to turn objects into animals while still conserving the object’s sturdy nature and abilities. While some may consider that basic, it can be used in extremely creative ways.

After taking the camera from an old couple, Hinrigh Biganduffno then proceeds to use his ability on it to turn it into a cat, creating a walking surveillance camera that records everything while staying discrete. The second time fans see him use his ability in the chapter was while fighting Padaille, a man that can change his arm into weapons, such as an axe or hammer. Hinrigh then turns handcuffs into pigeons, which attach around Padaille’s arms. Soon after, fans saw two others join Padaille, named Quorolle and Tevelares. Expectedly, they quickly learned that even though Hinrigh turned the handcuffs into pigeons, they are still as sturdy and can not be taken down by gunshots. Overall this is quite an overpowered ability.
The Heil-Ly Family And The Level System
The Xi-Yu family, specifically Hinrigh Biganduffno, is currently tracking the Morena. In chapter 391, the readers are met with three of Morena’s underlings, notably, Padaille, Quorolle, and Tevelares. In this chapter, Padaille is the one who shines the most, notably with the showcasing of his conjurer ability, which allows him to change his arm to different weapons. The other two, Quorolle and Tevelares, are respectively supposedto be an Emitter and an Enhancer, however, they’re mostly seen using a gun against the pigeon-handcuffs created by Hinrigh Biganduffno.
Besides all the fighting, the readers also got some extra information about the levels in the Heil-ly Family. The level of each member seems to increase when they kill someone; specifically, they get 10 level increase instead of probably 1 when it’s a nen user. Of the characters we’ve seen during this chapter, the levels ranged from 22 to 29 – indicating that stronger members with higher levels are probably to be seen soon. Undoubtedly, these areexciting times forHunter x Hunterfansas the series has returned with a breath of fresh air, yet is just as good as fans remember it being.
