Nearly all open-world games have an array of weapons for the player to choose from. Most of these are some form of conventional weapon – a firearm of some kind.Cyberpunk 2077, on the other hand, has a selection of smart weapons the player can use. So what are smart weapons? InCyberpunk 2077, smart weapons are capable of being directly interfaced by the player via aSmart Link from a Ripperdock.
With a Smart Link, the auto-targeting feature of the smart weapons is unlocked and shots fired from these items seek out the target. The trade-off for this increased accuracy is a decrease in damage, but honestly, losing a little damage to score a hit with every shot is not much of a penalty. One last thing, the DPS (damage per second) and damage per shot listed here may be different than what someone’s copy of these weapons shows; in fact, there are reports of weapon stats changing over time for no reason.

The game has some outstanding Cyberware options for V, as well as useful perks and powerful weapons that players can take advantage of. While Smart Weapons are not everyone’s cup of tea, if players learn how to use them correctly, they can make a night-and-day difference in combat. Some of the weapons on this list suffer from things like low DPS or mediocre fire rate, but others can decimate groups of enemies in the blink of an eye.
17Hercules 3AX
An Explosive Weapon With An Outstandingly Long Clip
TheMillitech Hercules 3 AXhas a decent magazine size with 90 rounds that can be fired from the hip to deal explosive damage. Enemies who are eliminated by this weapon of mass destruction will erupt an explosion dealing 70% of the base damage inflicted on them to other enemies in the form of chemical damage.
The range of this effect is up to 10 meters, which makes this weapon ideal for crowd control. Especially in tight spaces where enemies start swarming from all directions.
How to Get the Millitech Hercules 3 AX
This weapon can be found in the shooting range section of the Nighthawks Rehabilitation Center. It can also be purchased from Herold Lowe at the EBM Petrochem Stadium if it has not been looted from the Nighthawks Rehabilitation Center.
16Ogou
Increased Critical Hit And Bleed Chance
Ogou is a variant of the Kang Tao A-22B Chao introducedin theCyberpunk 2077: Phantom Libertyexpansion. This variant has an increased critical hit chance,Bleed chance, and a reduction in Lock-on Time versus the standard A-22B. These improvements make the Ogou a smart choice for a smart weapon.
As a handgun, it is not suitable for long-range fights, but at close range, the Ogou’s damage per second makes short work of enemies. The best aspect of the Ogou is its ability to fire two explosive rounds that have a high chance of dismembering the target.

This is dropped by the elite Robot R Mk.2 during theTreating Symptomsgig.
15Pizdets
The More It’s Fired, The Higher The Chance Of A Critical Hit
This smart submachine gun has a distinctive appearance. It looks dangerous, because it is dangerous — one of the best smart weapons in the game, in fact. The best aspect of this weapon is its ability to increase the chance of a critical hit the longer the weapon fires.
Pizdets also has a Headshot Modifier, and a handy built-in silencer. The Pizdets is also the most damaging smart weapon in the game. To put how damaging Pizdets is into perspective when equipped with a silencer, stealth damage is increased by 220% and the Headshot Damage Multiplier by 35%.

14Tsunami Kappa
Tracking Two Targets At Once Can Go A Long Way
Introduced in Patch 1.6, the Tsunami Kappa gives players another choice for a smart submachine gun. The clip holds plenty of ammunition. Few weapons (minus any mods) have magazines that hold more ammo than the Kappa. This weapon also has the ability to track two targets at once.
This is a great weapon if used in the proper situation. The Kappa is not a long-range weapon and is best used in close-to-medium-range firefights that provide advantageous angles for the bullets' trajectories. This weapon shines in fights in interior locations. There are two variants of the Kappa, the x-MOD2 and Crimestopper, as well as multiple skins. The Crimestopper can disable opponents' cyber limbs. The one disadvantage this weapon has is that, due to its Smart targeting system, installing a Scope and a Muzzle attachment is, unfortunately, not possible, which might make some players reluctant to use this weapon as their main or secondary choice.
How to Get the Tsunami Kappa
This weapon can be purchased at vendors inRed Peaks, Japantown, Downtown,andWellsprings.Each location’s Kappa has a different skin variant. The x-MOD2 spawns in the Eventide Resort & Spa after the Spy in the Jungle gig. Getting it requires a 10Body score. The Crimestopper is found after completing the Heaviest of Hearts gig in a bag in VIP Room 6 in Heavy Hearts.
13D5 Sidewinder
Little Damage Output Hinders This Weapon Greatly
The D5 Sidewinder isa smart assault rifle. In manygames similar toCyberpunk 2077, assault rifles are the weapon of choice for most players. Some of the other weapon types, like Power weapons, havenumerous assault riflesthat are great for every situation.
The problem with the Sidewinder is its damage output. Even the worst of the Power assault rifles does twice the damage per shot as this weapon. Auto targeting is nice, but when it comes to assault rifles inCyberpunk 2077, it’s better to use a more conventional weapon and just get good at aiming.
How to Get the D5 Sidewinder
The Sidewinder is a fairly common weapon inCyberpunk 2077. It can bepurchased from vendorsin Japantown and West Wind Estates. Legendary variants are also available for purchase. The spec for this weapon can be purchased from these vendors as well.
12Divided We Stand (D5 Sidewinder)
Considerable Electrical Damage And A Chance Of Poisoning
Divided We Stand isan iconic smart assault rifle. This rifle can fire ten shots per second and target up to five enemies simultaneously. In addition, Divided We Stand does electrical damage with a chance of poisoning.
The problem with this weapon is that its standard magazine only holds 30 rounds; consequently, at six rounds per second, itruns out of ammo very quickly. Divided We Stand is a better version of the Nokota D5 Sidewinder.
How to Get the Divided We Stand
This Sidewinder variant can beacquired during the “Stadium Love” side job. This job is done while crashing the 6th Street party, in the Rancho Coronado section of Santo Domingo. On one of the rooftops, there is a group of people having a shooting contest. The player can join and can win Divided We Stand by earning 44 points or more. Of course, the player can instead fight the group and get Divided We Stand off one of the corpses.
11HJKE-11 Yukimura (Genjiroh)
Great Damage Per Second Output
This smart pistolcomes with several bonusesthat make itactually worth usinginstead of a type of gun that generally does more damage and has a faster rate of fire – like an assault rifle. The HJKE-11 does a lot of damage-per-second, as well as an increased chance to score a critical hit.
It can also dealextra chemical, thermal, electrical, and physical damage,making the HJKE-11 effective against most enemy types. There is another variant of the HJKE-11, aside from Skippy, called Genjiroh. It is included in this entry because it isn’t much different from the standard HJKE-11. The thermal and chemical damage is replaced with shock damage and an increase in critical damage; other than that and a different paint job, the Genjiroh and standard HJKE-11 are nearly identical.
How to Get the HJKE-11 Yukimura
There are two locations where the player can pick up this versatile smart weapon. The first is duringthe “Play It Safe” mission. Head to the 21st floor and check the door to the right of the elevator. There is a locked door in the room that can be entered with the keycode: 2906. Alternatively, a Technical Ability score of at least 11 allows the player to open the lock. Another copy of this weapon is located inArasaka Mansion.
10A-22B Chao
A Great Deal Of Mod Slots Available
The A-22B Chao is anothersmart pistol with some great bonuses. This weapon has a high DPS; however, the A-22B is the better weapon. The only aspect in which the HJKE-11 is better is its rate of fire.
For starters, ithas more mods slotsand can be reloaded much quicker than the HJKE-11. The A-22B has achance of dealing additional thermal, chemical, physical, and critical damage. Considering it’s a smart weapon, and nearly every shot will hit, a faster rate of fire doesn’t help as much as it would in a conventional (non-smart) weapon.
How to Get the A-22B Chao
The weapon vendors in Japantown and West Wind Estate sell Epic variants on the Chao; the one inRed Peakshas a chance of having a legendary variant. The Vista Del Rey vendor will sell the player an epic-level spec for the Chao. Japantown and West Wind Estates have the much less desirable uncommon spec.
9Tao G-58 Dian
A Good Weapon That, Unfortunately, Pales In Comparison To Others In Its Category
The G-58 is an extremely versatile smart submachine gun. It boasts good damage, a high rate of fire, a magazine that doesn’t empty too quickly, and no variability in damage per shot. This weapon seems great until it’s compared to the damage non-smart submachine guns are capable of. Then it becomes obvious how underpowered this smart gun is in comparison.
The G-58has four mods slots at the legendary tier. This is a great smart gun, but it’s out-classed by most of the other smart weapons inCyberpunk 2077.Players who prefer submachine guns should stick with the TKI-20 Shingen.
How to Get the Tao G-58 Dian
Epic variants of the Dian are for sale in the Downtown, The Glen, Vista Del Rey, and Wellsprings weapon vendors. The spec for a legendary variant can be purchased at The Glen, Vista Del Rey, and Wellsprings vendors.Miguel Rodriguez drops a legendary spec; the player meets Miguel during one of the Suspected Organized Crime Activity jobs in Vista Del Rey.
8DB-4 Palica
The DB-4 Palica isa smart double-barreled shotgunthat looks more like a miniature rocket launcher. If this shotgun made use of a magazine to hold spare shells it would have been higher on this list, but it must be reloaded after every shot.
Shots from this gun dealextra thermal and have a chance of causing burn damage. Here’s how a conflict typically goes when using the DB-4; encounter a group of enemies, pull the trigger, and the encounter will be over. As good as the DB-4 Palica is, the L-69 Zhuo is the better choice for a smart shotgun.

The Palica is a common weapon inCyberpunk 2077. It can be purchased in gun shops and looted off corpses. The weapon vendors in Japantown and West Wind Estate both sell this smart gun; they also have the spec for sale. TheWest Wind Estate location can have a legendary variant.
