There are four area bosses inAnimal Well, with players free to tackle them in whatever order they like. The Seahorse boss can be found in the bottom left-hand corner of the map and is one of the easierAnimal Wellbossesto take down, with players simply needing to solve a fairly basic puzzle in order to get past it.
It certainly helps that the puzzle in question is similar to one that showed up a little earlier inAnimal Well. If anything, this one is a little easier, as players will be able to solve it without having to pass through multiple rooms. For those who are having trouble though, the following guide should help.

How to Beat the Seahorse Boss in Animal Well
After passing through the whale room and dropping down into the area below, players will find themselves in a large chamber containing four floating platforms, two cranks, and three large receptacles that will need to be filled with water. Of course, the Seahorse can be found here too, and will periodically pop up out of the water and shoot water at the playable character.
Thankfully, unless they’re floating on a bubble, this water can’t really do anything to them, so players can mostly ignore the Seahorse and focus on the task at hand. Like the puzzle leading down to the whale room, they’ll need to use the cranks to turn the plates and deflect the water that the Seahorse shoots into the receptacles. To begin with, they’ll want to use the crank on the left to fill the left and center receptacles, being sure to leave the plate at the angle shown in the image above once they’re done.

Next, they can switch over to the crank on the right and position it so that the water from the Seahorse bounces from the left plate to the right one and then into the final receptacle. This setup is a little janky and may take a couple of attempts to get the job done, but as the Seahorse is unable to inflict any damage, players are free to sit tight until the receptacle is full and the final door lock has been released.
Where to Use the B.Flame in Animal Well
Once all three receptacles have been filled, players will be free to make their way to the room on their right, where they’ll find theB.Flame. After breaking it out of its glass casing using the Disc, they’ll want to head right and use the fish head statue to return to the game’s central area. From here, they can travel one screen right and then use the B.Flame to light the Seahorse statue beacon. For those unaware, eachAnimal Wellarea bosshas its own statue, and all four of their beacons will need to be lit to unlock the path to the final area.
