A Reddit user named -S-i-x- brought up the famous population map that was featured inHalo 3. When entering online multiplayer, the game would present the player with a world map that showed off bright lights in each country which indicated where in the world players were online. It’s little features like this that could potentially be included withinHalo Infinite. The community ofHalofans is quite loyal, considering that there are players that have been with the series since the launch ofHalo: Combat Evolved. Thus, to have an outlet to visually show players how big the community truly is potentially provides an additional way to showcase how importantHalois for so many people. Especially considering that Microsoft included an entireHalosection in theonline Xbox museum.

In any case, it’s amazing to see how much of an impact the earlier games still have onHalofans today. The fact that so many players remember something as simple as a population map goes to show how importantHalois to its fans. The amount of online traction thatHalo: The Master Chief Collectioncurrently has goes to show just how much influence the classicHalogames have managed to maintain.

It will be interesting to see what the final version ofHalo Infinitewill look like. There have been rumors floating around thatHalo Infinitecould have multiple campaigns.
