When fans dive intoGotham Knightslater this month, they can expect a world firmly set in the DC universe and the greaterBatmanmythos, including Easter eggs. It is set to release later this month, and while there have been some concerns about the game,Gotham Knightsno doubt has many more waiting to step into the boots of Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, and Red Hood.
Luckily, it was previously announced that WB had moved theGotham Knights' release date up by four days to October 21. Four days may not be much, but it is four days sooner nonetheless. And during a recentpreview ofGotham Knights, Game Rant noticed an Easter egg that brings Superman into the game in a small, albeit fun way.

We found an email addressingBruce Wayne’s death inGotham Knights(which WB Games Montreal has reiterated is legit plenty of times, still to the disbelief of many fans), written by Superman’s secret identity, Clark Kent. It’s not that much of a secret between him and other heroes, though, as it was addressed to Dick Grayson and spoke about how much danger and death is involved in the job, yet so few ever see it coming.
However, Clark Kent believes that Batman did see it coming and did expect that his actions would result in his death, from the moment he put on the cowl. This earned him Superman’s respect. Every single member of theBat Family inGotham Knightshas to deal with Batman’s death, but at the same time, it seems like he almost anticipated they would take over for him. One of the first trailers implied as much anyway.
Of course, fans are likely to encounter even more DC universe Easter eggs referencing other characters during their own playthrough. Whether that’s references to obscureBatmancharacters, enemies belonging to rogue galleries of heroes like Superman, or even nods toward other DC heroes like Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and/or Aquaman, there’s certainly plenty of potential.
Plus, WB is really treating its DC fans well.Gotham Knightsmay be its game of the fall, but come 2023, fans will also get to dive into another DC hero game,Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Clark Kent may not appear inGotham Knightsin the flesh (or perhaps he will, who knows), but fans can expect to face off with anevil Superman inSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Gotham Knightsis scheduled to release on June 02, 2025, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
