New events are part of everyGenshin Impactupdate, and they usually bring a lot of new content for players to enjoy. These events usually include various quest lines that grant precious rewards.
The lastGenshin Impactupdate has brought the Lantern Rite festival which is based on the Chinese new year meaning that it will most likely be an annual event. Although the current 2.5 events are not even close to the end, multiple leaks have revealed the content that will arrive in the following update.

Genshin Impactleaks and rumorshelp create a lot of hype for new characters, weapons, or events even months before their official release. A recent tweet by a credibleGenshin Impactleaker named Genshin Intel has revealed more information about one of the upcoming events named “Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens.” This event will require players to take up to 14 selfies in different locations doing various things which include triggering the idle, elemental skill, or burst animations. Each of the pictures will grant 30 Primogems, 20000 Mora, and 2 Hero’s Wit. This means that players will be given a total of 420 Primogems which is equal to 7 wishes.
The official live stream event has also confirmed that update 2.6 will bring a newGenshin Impactregion named Chasm. The region’s name has been displayed on the current in-game map of Teyvat for a long time now, and it seems like Hoyoverse finally made the decision to expand Liyue to the southwest. Chasm will also bring a new normal world boss named Ruin Serpent. Chasm will apparently have an interesting radial design with six new teleport points, including a new Statue of The Seven.
Even before Yae Miko joined the live servers, the game’s social media accounts have announced abrand-newGenshin Impactcharacterby the name Kamisato Ayato. He is currently known as a skilled sword user and the head of the popular Kamisato clan. The fact that his element is Hydro could mean that he has great synergy with his sister Ayaka who is a Cryo vision holder. Previous leaks about his kit reveal that he will most likely be a new DPS character with strong sub-DPS capabilities.
Multiple leaks have been hinting thatGenshin Impactupdate 2.6 could also bring a double banner re-run featuringtwo strong Anemo supports Kazuha and Venti. They will probably be placed on the same double banner which means that there will be a shared pity system between them. Both of them are considered the two strongestGenshin Impactsupports, alongside Raiden Shogun.
