The debut of the newest region of Fontaine has already seen multiple playable characters both added and teased forGenshin Impact. Version 4.0 saw the introduction of Lyney as Fontaine’s first five-star character with Lynette and Freminet as four-star units, while the game hasteased future characters like Navia, Clorinde, and Neuvillette. Now, the HoYoverse RPG reportedly has even more re-runs on the way.

WhileGenshin Impactplaced much of Version 4.0’s spotlight on its new characters, the first Fontaine update would welcome back several past characters. The first half of Version 4.0 saw the return of Yelan to the game’s gacha banners, receiving her second re-run after previously debuting in Version 2.7. The update’s second half is also set to see the return of two ofGenshin Impact’s oldest five-star characters in Zhongli and Tartaglia, with Tartaglia playing a major role in Fontaine’s story. Now,Genshin Impact’s upcoming Version 4.2 update will re-run characters from three different regions.

A new update shared by prominentGenshin Impactleaker Tao via fellow leaker Uncle YC has confirmed the threefive-star characters receiving re-runs during Version 4.2. Version 4.2 is reportedly set to welcome re-runs from three different regions throughoutGenshin Impactwith Kamisato Ayato, Baizhu, and Cyno set to appear. Version 4.2 will also welcome one new five-star characters with thelong-awaited release of the Hydro Archon Furina. The leak did not confirm the order of the gacha banners for the Version 4.2 update.

AlongsideGenshin Impact’s upcoming lineup of characters, recent leaks have also given players an idea of how the game’s newest region will expand in future patches. Version 4.1 is heavily rumored to introduceFontaine’s Fortress of Meropide prison, while future updates are expected to bring the Fontaine Research Institute and another “Dungeon” area. The Fontaine cycle has also been heavily rumored to expand one ofGenshin Impact’s past regions, hinted to be either Liyue’s Chenyu Vale or Mondstadt’s Dornman Port

WhileGenshin Impactis only a week removed from the launch of Fontaine, leaks and official reveals are already teasing the game’s next update. Version 4.1 was confirmed by HoYoverse to feature two new characters with Neuvillette and Wriothesley revealed by the developer in the days leading up to Version 4.0’s launch. The next update has also seen several rumors about gameplay changes, including arework toGenshin Impact’s daily commission system.
