Releasing new characters is very common inGenshin Impactand these events are usually the focal point of each update.Apart from the main characters, Lumine and Aether, each playable unit in the game can use only one element.

Except Eula, everyGenshin Impactcharacter that has been added to the playable roster has had a series of leaks before their official release. A recent update by a credibleGenshin Impactleaker account named SaveYourPrimos has revealed more information about Shikanoin Heizou. The leaker claims that according to multiple insiders, Heizou might be equipped with the Anemo element. When it comes to his rarity, he’s also predicted to be a newGenshin Impactfour-star Anemo characterwhich makes him the fourth character with this element and rarity.
Shikanoin Heizou is a popular Inazuma detective who works for the Tenryuo Commission. His unique way of investigating often gives the impression that he puts his own priorities over duties which makes him disliked by his superiors such as thewell-knownGenshin Impactcharacter Kojou Sara. Previous leaks have also hinted that he might be the smallest character in the game and have a silly mustache.
Even though a couple of weeks ago, multiple leaks have been hinting that Heizou could arrive as the four-star character alongside the long-awaited Kamisato Ayato, his absence fromGenshin Impact’s official announcementshas already confirmed that his release schedule has been moved. Unlike Heizou, there is a lot of information about Kamisato Ayato who’s the head of the popular Kamisato clan. He’s confirmed to be a Hydro character meaning that he could have great synergy with his sister Ayaka.
Fans went wild when Ayato’s voice was teased in an official video with the theory that his arrival might be sooner than the community expected. Numerous in-game NPCs have already revealed that Ayato is a skilled sword and polearm user, however, it seems like Hoyoverse decided to equip him with a sword. According topreviousGenshin Impactleaks, his Elemental skill is named Shuumatsu Art, and it allows him to dash sideways while casting a hydro clone that taunts enemies.
Genshin Impactis available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is currently in development.
