Genshin Impactleaks have become a part of the game’s community, and they usually hint at new character additions even months before they officially arrive. One of those characters is the current Dendro Archon who has been rumored numerous over the last couple of months.
A new leak on the popularGenshin Impactleaks subReddit reveals more information about the fan-favorite character known as Nahida. At the moment, she is a quest-exclusive NPC that appears in Archon Quest Chapter III - The Morn of a Thousand Roses Brings.

The official story has confirmed previous rumors thatNahida is the new Dendro Archonwho serves as the protector of the new Sumeru region. Even though the leak does not give many specifics about her kit, it hints that she will have a press and hold variations on her elemental skill. This means that her skill could be similar to Fischl’s Oz which can be relocated or Beidou’s Tidecaller which is one of the most iconic moves in the game. The leak also mentioned a move animation that will be tied to her elemental skill which usually means that a character can move freely during their elemental skill animation.
According to the rumor, the only other skills in the game that have a move animation in the data areMona’s and Ayaka’s alternate sprintsand Fischl’s elemental burst. Based on Nahida’s appearance, players expect her to have a supportive role in a team composition, most likely the first five-star Dendro support character. At the moment, players have to rely on Collei or the new version of the Traveler to apply the new Dendro element on the field.
Even though Tighnari is also a Dendro user with a higher five-star rarity, he is a DPS character which means that he is not a great fit for the support role. A big part of the community claims that the new Dendro Travaler is by far the strongest version of the main character in the game. When it comes toNahida’s release date, multiple rumors have been hinting that she will arrive inGenshin Impactupdate 3.2.
Developer HoYoverse has a pattern of introducing new Archons one update after the region arrives, however, the game’s official social media accounts have already revealed three characters forGenshin Impactupdate 3.1: Cyno, Nilou and Candace. Although a part of the community claimed that they didn’t like Nahida’s character design, a recent survey has revealed that she actually the most popular Sumeru character at the moment.
Genshin Impactis now available on mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
