Genshin Impactis an action free-to-play JRPG with a massive open world. But along with the huge open world comes some difficult puzzles, even more difficult thanGenshin Impact’s probable inspiration,Breath of the Wild. One puzzle that is a little confusing ishow to break the seal on the Stormterror’s Lair, as it involves collecting nine pieces and interacting with three marked areas.

Eventually,Ambermanages to introduce Travelers to Mondstadt where Dvalin decides it’s the perfect time for an attack. After talking with the Knights of Favonius and meeting the Anemo Archon, the party set forth to the Stormterror’s Lair. Sadly, it’s impossible to access the area as it’s surrounded by strong winds that can be removed by following specific steps in Genshin Impact.
Stormterror’s Lair
The Stormterror’s Lair puzzle doesn’t occur until Act 3 ofGenshin Impact. Players should be about level 19 or 20 to get this puzzle and the Lair completed without too much difficulty. The Lair is located in the northern part of the map of Mondstadt, to the west of the starting city ofMondstadt (where players can also find a souvenir shop). There is a dark spot there, cut by water in a circular pattern.
How to get into Genshin Impact’s Stormterror Lair
to get into the dragon’s lair inGenshin Impact, players first have to break three seals. Each seal is broken by collecting several constellation pieces called Light Actuators. There is one seal to the east, one to the north, and one to the west.
How to Break the Eastern Seal of Stormterror’s Lair
The seal to the east has two Guiding Light pieces on the top of Colosseum-like ruined pillars, which require players to make use of theirGenshin Impactglider wings that are similar to the glider fromBreath of the Wild. It works fairly similarly; players will have to find upward gusts of air to be able to fly onto the pillars. The two pieces are located near the central pillar. Go up the stairs east of the pillar, then look to the left. There will be two glowing pieces on Colosseum-styled ruins. Fly to them using wind gusts and pick both up.
Regardless ofwhich twinGenshin Impactplayers choose, they should be able to pick these pieces the same way. Return to the pillar and the pieces will open the first of the three seals.
How to Break the Northern Seal of Stormterror’s Lair
Players can fast-travel inGenshin Impact, and they can make good use of it here. Between each seal, fast traveling back to the Lair will give them a good jumping-off point to glide to the next seal. Head to the northern seal and locate the teleport waypoint pillar. The pieces should be fairly obvious because of their glowing to the north; there will be three this time.
How to Break the Western Seal of Stormterror’s Lair
The Western Seal is the final seal to get into the dragon’s Lair. Players can once again fast travel to the Lair, then fly to the west. Each of the three glowing pieces is located around the central pillar. Collect them all after defeating the enemies withthe bestGenshin Impactcharactersand then the Seal to the Lair will be broken.
