AGenshin Impactfan has recently shared a weird glitch that made their character fly out of the bounds of the area he was in. The event happened in the Momiji-Dyed Court, aGenshin Impactdomain located in the Japanese-inspired region of Inazuma.

Glitches are an unfortunate reality in games. As the complexity of most AAA titles grew over the years, so did the bugs and weird interactions between systems. While some of them may be game-breaking, however, not all glitches are the same. Just like it happened inSkyrimwhen the internet saw sabertooth tigers flying and spinning around in the air, some glitches are simply amazing to watch, as long as the players can record them quickly enough. For instance,Genshin Impactglitches can make beautiful photosor even hilarious videos such as this one.

A few days ago,Genshin Impactplayer Jeromethy shared a surprising 17-second clip on Reddit. In the video, we can see that they were trying out anArtifact Domain challenge in Momji-Dyed Court. In the video, it’s possible to see the player using the Dendro-based character Nahida. They’re trying to attack a Large Electro Slime when a weird elemental reaction happens and the player is thrust up into the air, right above the area’s limits. Then, Nahida stays above an invisible wall for a few seconds, falls down, and dies, probably wrecking the poor gamer’s chance at the challenge.

As usual, theGenshin Impactsubreddit is full of opinions, and some were pretty wild. The most upvoted user, Foxdynasty808, claimed that this video had way more plot twists than they were ready for and that M. Night Shyamalan couldn’t do better than that 17-second clip. Another user called Claraalberta affirmed that this was what the developers ofGenshin Impactmeant when they said that “Teyvat has its own laws.” Other Redditors, however, discussed strategies, including that the player could have attacked while in the air to plunge to the ground and avoid damage, a fairly common tactic.

While bugs such as this one are common, new updates are constantly trying to iron them out. The new 3.5 version ofGenshin Impactwill bring new events, and characters, fix known bugs, and attempt to avoid these hilarious glitches from becoming too much of a common occurrence.

Genshin Impactis available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
