The issue seems to have come fromCall of Duty: Warzoneupdating for Season 3right before the event, which kicked out the players that jumped into the game early to wait. When all those players logged in, as well as all the others who wanted to see the event, it bogged down the game’s servers and is now leading to some incredible wait times. Activision has said it is investigating the issue, but many fans are poking fun at the company regardless.
A common theme in the uproar is showing Activision servers caught in a raging inferno as the publisher tries to accommodate the surge of players logging on. Others are instead finding memes to take jabs at Activision, saying it is incompetent.
