Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrificewas quite revolutionary in many ways when it was first released in 2017. The graphics and motion capture were absolutely stellar, and the game looked fantastic, even if some work was needed to help players with motion sickness.

It can be incredible to see an entireseriesof games have an incredible plot, world, and characters, without any dialogue taking place. Everything is conveyed through the stylistic backgrounds, the environment, and the actual events taking place.
The hauntingly beautifulLittle Nightmaresseriescomes back next yearwithLittle Nightmares 3, a new game following a different set of protagonists: Low and Alone. Judging from the trailer, the series has kept its hallmark visuals, interesting and unique puzzles, and a somewhat disturbing and heartbreaking world, even though it has moved to a new development tea at Supermassive Games.
Many people grew up alongside thePrince of Persia, with its daring acrobatic moves, interesting setting and magic, and theunmistakable charm of ancient Persiaitself. Over the years, the franchise has had its ups and downs, and it has been a long time since the series had a new game of any kind.
The new sequel,Prince of Persia: The Lost Crowntries to go back to the series' older side-scrolling formula, and adds a new cast of characters. So far, the reception for the trailer hasn’t been the best, but time will tell how the game ends up being received.

Contrais one of the oldest franchises in video games, with the first game having come out back in 1987. Over the years, the series experimented with different genres and perspectives, somewhat straying from its original formula.
The new game,Contra: Operation Galuga, goes back to its roots: a proper side-scrolling run-and-gun. In many ways, it is a reimagined version of the very first game in the series, but polished with new graphics, a new engine, new enemies, and so much more. Many series veterans are excited to see their childhood favorite come back in a brand-new lightin early 2024.
It wouldn’t be too much of an exaggeration to say thatKilling Floor 2is one ofthe most iconic zombie shootersof all time. Millions of people online banded together in co-op lobbies to brave the massive waves of ZEDs, upgrading their weapons and gear as they prepared for the next onslaught.
The game has been supported for many years, and the sequel,Killing Floor 3,looks like it’sfinally going to be released in 2024,with new shiny graphics, mechanics, enemies, and maps. It’s truly a treat for all zombie lovers out there.

Given that the game should come out with all of its chapters at once, there is a lot of work to be done, and many are hopeful that this time the game actually reaches the finish line.
Tekkenremains one of thebiggest fighting games on the market,and it’s all too easy to see why. With a massive roster, a high skill ceiling, and an active competitive scene, the series continues to pull in new players.
With so many other fighting games coming out in 2023, it’s no wonder that the franchise is in a hurry to release its next title,Tekken 8, in early 2024. Players should be able to pick up the sequel in just a few months, but the trailers and early gameplay footage already look quite promising.
Homeworldmight not have garnered as much widespread popularity as some other RTS series, yet it has a rich and interesting history, many unique elements, and a faithful community that has been patiently waiting for its return. Interestingly enough, the original title was the highest-rated PC game on Metacritic in 1999.
Homeworld 3seems to take its hallmark pillars of space battles and a deep narrative and present it all in a modern package.
