ASkyrimVRplayer attempted to make Ulfric Stormcloak, the condemned Jarl of Windhelm, apologize for his actions by dragging him all the way to General Tullius in Solitude. It seems that, while there’s beenno indication of whenThe Elder Scrolls 6will arrive, players are still keeping themselves entertained inTES5, and if that means dragging one of the game’s most infamous rebels across the map to atone for his crimes, then so be it.
Virtual reality inSkyrimcan really up the immersion by letting players get up close and personal with the denizens of the land. There’s even a mod for the VR port which goes that extra mile to generate a sense of realism, including giving users the ability to physically grab NPCs, and it’s through this method that one player decided to go on such a tiresome quest.

In a recent video uploaded to YouTube, The Laughing Simon asked whether or not it’s worth dragging Ulfric all the way to Solitude in the VR version ofSkyrim. The amusing episode shows the player grabbing onto the Nord in a variety of ways in order to stop him from walking away. At more than 23-minutes long, the video demonstrates both the treacherous journey that needs to be taken, as well as Ulfric’s sheer apathy at being forced to go across the map.
The intended result was to see whether the renegade fighter would apologize for his role in the ongoing civil war. For those who don’t know,Ulfric Stormcloak leads an anti-Imperial rebellion inSkyrim, and players first encounter him at the very start of the game while traveling to their own execution. Given his crimes, namely using the Voice to kill the Torygg the Jarl of Solitude, YouTuber The Laughing Simon wanted to take Ulfric to the city to explain his actions to General Tullius of the Imperial Legion. Unfortunately, the journey turns out to be more perilous than expected, as both Ulfric and the player are set upon by wild animals and bandits. Sadly, things didn’t turn out quite the way the player hoped.
AlthoughSkyrimalready offers an immersive open world, the chance to play the game in virtual reality is bound to be appealing to many. To see this region of Tamriel through a VR headset is something that astounds many players. And with the ability to interact with the environment and grab NPCs, there is much fun to be had that goes beyond slaying dragons.
