Emphasizing the fact that the facial features of the skin look quite weird, they add that their enthusiasm for the release dwindled after seeing how the cosmetic looked. TheLokiGod of Stories skin inFortnitewas released as part of the latest Marvel xFortnitecollab, which this time around covered the Disney+Lokiseries. Alongside the God of Stories attire for Loki, players can purchase the Sylvie Laufeydottir skin.
Fans Speculate Epic Games Might Not Have Been Able To Strike A Deal With Loki Actor
Notably, several otherFortniteplayers echoed similar sentiments for both the Loki and Sylvie Laufeydottir skins, but a few pointed out a few things fans should consider before getting overly critical about the design. Firstly, it could very much be possible that the developers weren’t able to strike a deal with the original actor, Tom Hiddleston, which prevented them from using his face for the skin. Simply partnering with Marvel might not be enough for this, as there is a possibility that the actor’s contract wouldn’t cover these aspects to begin with. Additionally, it is crucial to note that otherMarvel skins inFortnitehave similar generic character models as well, so it isn’t really surprising to see the character lacking Hiddelston’s face.
In fact, several players highlighted that this Loki skin is actually quite similar to the one that was revealed previously, with the old skin coming as part of theFortniteCrew Packthat was released back in July 2021. However, as a few fans noted, the facial features look more pronounced in the new skin since the Crew Pack version had quite a significant part of his face hidden with his helmet. That being said, many players appreciated the overall design and stated that the facial features weren’t that big of a priority when it comes to the cosmetics inFortnite.
