Summary
Fortniteis apparently opening up the floodgates for its Creative mode as a new leak suggests that it will soon allow creators to build maps with collab items in them, something that wasn’t possible for a long time. In the past, created had to deal with serious consequences for using copyrighted content inFortniteCreative, but it seems like that is all set to change pretty soon.
Fortniteis well known for its flashy collabs, and the ongoing season has been no exception. While many fans were surprised when theFalloutcollaboration was announced, Epic Games followed up with yet another interesting partnership withPirates of the CaribbeaninFortnite. As fans await what Epic Games has in store for them next, it seems like some of the past collaborations might be featured in the game pretty soon.

As per a new leak by popularFortniteleaker HYPEX, players could soon be getting a chance to try out theirfavorite collabs inFortniteonce again. Apparently,Fortniteis all set to bring a way to add the much-requested collab items to Creative mode. It is not yet known how many of the collaborations will be featured, but the leak does state thatTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtlesis the only one supported for now. However, more of these will likely be added in the near future.
As one might have guessed, there is a catch. For creators to use the collab items, apercentage of the revenue earned inFortniteCreativewill go to the respective IP owners. One user asked the leaker how many collab weapons one can expect to be added as part of this, to which they replied that it is likely that the items won’t be added until the agreements are finalized with the respective IP owners. This might involve negotiating the percentage cuts, and possibly even which items will be made available as part of theFortniteCreative.
Fortniteplayers are already curating their wishlist of collabs and items they want to see as part of this upcoming feature. To no surprise, theMarvel collaboration items inFortniteseem to be the most in-demand, with players looking for another opportunity to wield the Stormbreaker or Iron Man’s gauntlets. If this becomes a reality, it will be interesting to see what restrictions are imposed on the creators, as crossovers of various collab items in a map could again lead to a whole load of issues with the IP holders.
