Early this morning,Fortnitefans were greeted with a brand-new saga in the battle royale game. Chapter 3, Season 2 ofFortniteis called Resistance and has plenty of new gameplay changes and features to enjoy throughout the next couple of months. However, it seems that many players across all platforms have been experiencing issues logging in, which is typical for new season launches or game releases that have many players attempting to get in at the same time. With Epic Games’Fortniteservers facing some issues, some players willhave to wait in a queuebefore logging in to check out the changes for Chapter 3, Season 2.
What Does Waiting in Queue Mean in Fortnite?
OnceFortniteplayersopen up the game application on the platform of choice, they might be able to just get right into the game without having to wait, but for others, they might run into a screen that says, “Waiting in Queue for (time).”
IfFortnitefans want to make sure they can get some game time in for today, they should keep the game open and wait for the time to elapse. If players are getting hit with an absurd wait time, they should try restarting the game to see if that changes anything. However, this issue should not last long,as Epic Gameshas already spoken up on the problem via social media.

Earlier this morning, the official FortniteStatus Twitter account posted a message stating that the team was investigating an issue preventing players from logging into the servers. And while that issue has been mostly fixed, the development team tweeted out a few hours after the first post that they’re “continuing to work on server issues that are causing players to experience a long queue time” and that they’ll put out another update once it has been resolved.
Today, there have also been issues related toFortniteplayers being unable to party up with friends online.
When Will the Fortnite Queue End?
There’s no telling exactly when the queues will end for all players, but since this is the first day of thebrand-newFortniteseason, the game is currently congested with players. Once the excitement dies down a bit during this coming week, Epic Games will most likely have a handle on things, and players can log in normally without waiting in a virtual line.
Fortnite is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
