In addition, the global release time will have players in-game at 03:00 PST in Los Angeles, 06:00 EST in New York, 11:00 BST in London, 23:00 NZDT in Auckland, New Zealand, and the equivalent times in other time zones.
Ahead of its release, varioustrailers forScornhave already revealed some of the gameplay and striking visuals element featured in the game, showcasing unsettling visuals that are clearly inspired by H.R. Giger ofAlienfame as well as the nightmarish hellscapes of renowned Polish dystopian surrealism painter ZdzisÅaw BeksiÅski. The game will be heavily based on the player solving strange puzzles while avoiding horrific abominations, occasionally fighting enemies in first-person combat with an arsenal of even creepier biomechanical weapons, such as a shotgun that looks like a spinal cord with its own grotesque organ system.
Based onrecent previews ofScorn, the game is certainly not for the faint of heart. The simple act of interacting with basic puzzle elements will involve some rather nasty body horror elements, although this is an exciting prospect for longtime fans of games likeDead SpaceandResident Evil. The story is intentionally vague, leaving players to discover who they are in the world, along with the nature of the strange world they find themselves in. The game’s very minimal HUD generally only consists of an occasional interact icon, allowing players to immerse themselves fully in the world without being bogged down by inventory management or status monitoring.

Scornwill be released on October 14 for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
