Following the back-to-back releases ofWandaVisionandThe Falcon and the Winter Soldier, fans now have a longer wait ahead of them to see what’s next in the MCU. However, Marvel helped with that wait by dropping all kinds of goodies in a new video while also championing the return to movie theaters.

Using narration from the late Stan Lee,the trailer shows various clipsof past MCU movies as Lee talks about the connection people share with each other, before giving a glimpse of what’s to come in the future. After clips of the upcomingBlack WidowandShang-Chimovies are shown, the first footage ofEternals. While it is not a full trailer, the footage hints at the generation-spanning story as well as Oscar-winning director Chloé Zhao’s naturalistic filmmaking.

Though no new footage is shown for any of the movies scheduled beyondEternals, the trailer did give a reminder of the projects that are still on the horizon. This includes the title reveals for two highly anticipated sequels.Black Panther 2will officially be titledBlack Panther: Wakanda ForeverwhileCaptain Marvel 2will be titledThe Marvels. These feel like significant title reveals asThe Marvelshints at the team-up between Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan, and Monica Rambeau. And whileBlack Panther: Wakanda Foreverobviously speaks to the iconic war cry from the movies, it also reflects the movie carrying onthe legacy of the late Chadwick Boseman.

The rest of the titles reveal previously confirmed projects and their release dates. This includes dates forAnt-Man and the Wasp: QuantumaniaandGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The trailer ends with a tease ofthe upcomingFantastic Fourmovie from Jon Watts, although no release date is attached to that project yet.

There is a lot to unpack in this footage, but the thing that stands out the most is the first footage fromEternals. This is perhaps the most mysterious project on the MCU slate and one thathas excitement building more and more. With quick glimpses at the all-star cast including Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, and Kumail Nanjiani, it already feels like the movie will have a distinct look unlike anything that has been seen in the MCU up until now.

Despite the success of the first two Disney+ shows, none of the upcoming series were teased as the video was clearly meant to be a celebration of movie-going even including footage of the reaction from the crowd seeingAvengers: Endgameon opening night. Along with the intriguing new titles and the other great movies, the footage is a promise of things getting back to normal and fans enjoying these adventures together in the near future.
