Nintendo shared new images of the mysterious Four Hounds inFire Emblem Engagevia its official Twitter account. Hailing from the kingdom of Elusia, the Four Hounds consist of Fell Dragon followers Griss, Zephia, Marni, and Mauvier. Zephia is the prominent leader of the Four Hounds and a descendant of the millennia-old Demon Dragon clan. Standing to Zephia’s right-hand side is Griss, her confidant and loyal comrade in battle. Marni and the loyal soldier Mauvier stand to her left as the last two members of the Four Hounds.
The Elusian kingdom worships the Fell Dragon and aims to revive the evil entity in the world ofFire Emblem Engage. The Four Hounds are merciless in their quest and will do whatever it takes to stand in the way of Alear, but the Divine Dragon army stands as a pivotal ally for the protagonist. Alear and allies may harness the power of Emblem Rings, which are imbued with the power oflegendaryFire Emblemheroes. The war will turn into the ultimate power struggle between light and dark whenFire Emblem Engagelaunches.
Elusia’s Four Hounds should prove to be a memorableantagonistic force inFire Emblem Engage. Once more, the world is threatened by the Fell Dragon of the ancient past, and the Four Hounds seem to be the dragon’s best chance at revival.
IfFire Emblem Engagetakes more cuesfrom past titles, then the actual Fire Emblem shield may be a boon to Alear as it once was to Marth. Marth will lend his aid to Alear and may guide the protagonist toward ending the Fell Dragon threat this January.
