Fallout 76has lots of quests, events, and challengesto keep players busy. There are two different types of events: public events and regular events. Public events are free to travel to, and every player will be notified that the event is happening. One of those public events is One Violent Night.
This event sees players trying to bring out the Nighstalker; a creature that has been causing havoc around the Sons of Dane Compound. The event is a fun one that typically brings in a couple of players. It offers lots of XP and a few decent rewards, too.

How Often One Violent Night Happens
Public events happen once every 15–20 minutes on any given server. The event that pops up is random, so it boils down to luck. While one server may see the One Violent Night event pop up twice in an hour, others may not see it for a while.
When it does happen, you and everyone on the server will be notified. Simply open up your map, open up World Activity, and fast travel to the event for free. The event takes place at the Sons of Dane Compound.

Completing One Violent Night
While One Violent Night can be completed by one person, it’s not easy. To complete this event, draw out the Nightstalker (a Glowing Wendigo) and kill it.To do this, you’ll need to make as much noise as possible. This means playing the jukebox and playing instruments to draw out the beast.
However, once you start making noise, lots of Ghoulswill make their way into the building and start attacking. If you are sitting down and playing an instrument and a hoard of Ghouls runs in, you are in trouble. The best way to complete this event is to have a few people, some playing instruments and others defending those who are playing said instruments.

This is a timed event, and it must be completed within 10 minutes. If you haven’t made enough noise within the 10 minutes, then the event will fail. Here’s a breakdown of how the event works.
One Violent Night Rewards
After taking down the Nightstalker, you’ll receive a random array of rewards. Should you take down the Nightstalker unarmed, then you’ll also receive the Nailer. The Nailer is a Cultist Blade with the Bloodied effect. While it looks cool,it’s not particularly very useful as a weapon.
As for the other rewards, you can expect to receive a mixture of the following:

You’ll also get all of the valuable loot from the Ghouls. Some Ghouls may also spawn in as legendary enemies, meaning that you’re able to get even more legendary items from completing this event. There’s also a tiny chance of being awarded what is known as The Wasteland Lottery upon completing this event. The Wasteland Lottery consists of the following rare apparel items:
