This article will focus on the most difficult survival challenges that players can complete. It will also offer a few tips on how to complete some of them a little faster.
7Harvest Different Herbs
Can Be Tricky For New Players
Crafting and cooking are big parts ofFallout 76.There are lots of items in the game that require certain herbs to make. Just like in real life, herbs are mostly used to cook food.Food helps to boost the player’s healthand hunger bar, and some foods offer special buffs for the player to use.
The challenge requires the player to go out and collect one of every main herb in the game.Seasoned players will have no problems collecting the herbs, but newer players may struggle to find one of each type.
While most of the herbs are relatively easy to collect, some, like Thistle, can be trickier to find. Some of the herbs only grow in high-level areas on the map. So, it’s important for new players to gear up before going out to find the herbs needed to complete this challenge.

This is very difficult for low-level players due to the amount of radiation present and the tough enemies that roam the area. In order to get these, players will need a hazmat suit and a lot of bullets.
5Collect 76 Nuked Flora

As mentioned in the previous entry,there are some things that can only be farmed innuclear blast zones.As the name suggests, nuked flora are some of those things. Luckily, players tend to launch nukes fairly often, so it’s not too difficult to find a blast zone. What is difficult is surviving in the blast zone.
Players will need to gather 76 nuked flora. Thanks to poor visibility, difficult enemies, and high levels of radiation, this is easier said than done. The best way to complete this objective is to hop in a hazmat suit and run around the outside of the blast zone, looking for flora.
4Learn 76 Cooking Recipes
That’s A Lot Of Recipes
Players will come across lots ofplans and recipesas they journey through Appalachia. For the first 50 levels or so, the player is constantly picking up new recipes to learn.However, as the player learns more recipes, they will find it difficult to find new recipes that they don’t already know.
While most players will complete this challenge eventually, it can be a fairly lengthy one to complete. The best way to do this is to head to player vendors and see what plans they have for sale. If the player hassome extra caps to spend, then they can head to the Whitespring Mall and purchase recipes from the vendor bots that work there.
3Scrap Junk To Produce Resources (7600)

Scrapping items for junkis something that players will do frequently inFallout 76.Almost everything in the game can be scrapped for resources.Weapons, armor, clothing, and just about anything that’s not legendary can be broken down into their core components.
7600 is a big number. This will require players to scrap thousands of items. It is a long and boring job, but it can be made easier by taking over workshops. Workshops tend to give players a fair amount of junk that can be scrapped. However, even by using workshops, it will still take quite a long time to complete this challenge.
2Acquire Different Kinds Of Diseases 22
Become A Walking Disease
There are 22 different diseases that players can pick up inFallout 76.Most of them, players will naturally get as they play. However, there is one disease that can be very difficult to acquire: Woopsies.The player can only fall ill from the Woopsies if they are hit by a diseased Mirelurk Hatchling.And even then, there’s no guarantee that the player will get this disease.
Mirelurk Hatchlings can be produced by Mirelurk Queens. For those who haven’t yet encountered a Mirelurk Queen, they are tough to kill. While the Queen is tough to kill, her hatchlings die from the slightest touch. Since a dead hatchling can’t give the player Woopsies, it is easy to see why this is a difficult objective to complete.
1Collect 7600 Wood
The Most Tedious Challenge In Fallout 76
This challenge is as boring as it sounds. Players must go around Appalachia collecting wood. While 7600 pieces of wood may not sound too difficult to obtain, that’s not what the challenge is.The challenge requires players to pick wood 7600 times. That means heading up to a wood pile or a fallen tree and collecting wood.
Since there’s a 24-hour refresh before players can collect wood from the same source again, this is a long and arduous task. There are players with thousands of hours of gameplay under their belt who have still not completed this challenge.
While there are places like Helvetia that have lots of wood piles the player can collect, it will still take a very long time to complete this challenge.
