Starting with next Tuesday’s Patch 21,Fallout76will be playing host to the well-known faction the Brotherhood of Steel in a community event called “Fortifying ATLAS.” Not only is this a two-part event, but it’ll also unlock a number of rewards forFallout 76players to take advantage of.
The Brotherhood of Steel is known for its resilience as an organization, but of course, survival is difficult for everyonein the Wastelands ofFallout, and Appalachia is no exception. Players will be tasked with helping the Brotherhood establish themselves in Appalachia, so longtime fans of the Brotherhood will certainly have their hands full.

To kick off the Fortifying ATLAS event next week, players should travel to the ATLAS Observatory (located in the Savage Divide) and speak with Russell Dorsey, who believes that the Brotherhood of Steel is on its way to the observatory. Beginning Tuesday, August 4,Fallout 76playerscan band together as a community and construct a base for the Brotherhood to use as it moves into Appalachia; succeeding there will unlock further events and cosmetic rewards for everyone.
Russell is heading the effort to gather supplies and construct the new base, and as such, will ask all players to share the task of delivering raw materials to ATLAS. Deliver enough scrap, and players get a Purveyor Super Sale plus a Double S.C.O.R.E. Daily event in addition to the many Brotherhood-themed cosmetics that have been promised.
There are actually two parts to Fortifying ATLAS: Project Alpha is the first part, beginning on August 4 as previously stated. Then there’s Project Bravo, which begins on August 27, and each project has its own supply requirements that must be met to gain rewards. Every time players contribute materials, they will receive “ATLAS Donor’s Provisions,” which can be accessed from the inventory menu and contain the possibility of scoring rare Plans. Of course,players will need to team upto unlock as much of the wealth as possible.
Fallout 76has been pulling itself together after a lackluster initial release, especially withthe Wastelanders updateback in April. Re-introducing the Brotherhood of Steel to the game with Patch 21 could generate even more player interest, and with the entirely digital Quakecon coming up as well, it’ll be interesting to see what Bethesda has in store for the future ofFallout- both in this game and beyond.
