While no one was quite certain what to make of it at first,Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockouthas certainly made a big first impression. The game has been picked up by many, and has proven fun to play alone, with friends, and on stream. Cementing its smash-hit status is the fact thatFall Guysis Devlover’s most popular Steam release yet, and it’s only just gotten started.
The gameplay ofFall Guyscould be described as obstacle courses that could only exist in video games. Sixty players compete in the colorful obstacle courses by running, jumping, and diving around each other and the dangers at hand. There are lots of minigames that could be selected in the five rounds that make up a game, and it’s best to be familiar with them. So here’s a list.

Racing
The first category of themany differentFall Guysminigamesis the Racing category. These obstacle courses have the players race to the finish line, with only a certain number making it across to qualify for the next round. This is by far the largest category, so get ready to race. The games are as follows:
Dizzy Heights:Put jumping and timing skills to work, as players must cross spinning, flying platforms.
Hit Parade:A hazardous climb past spinning gates and up slimy slopes, with plenty of obstacles.
See Saw:Most of the platforms will tilt towards the side with the most weight, forcing players to cooperate.
Door Dash:Straightforward, but beware! Not all the doors are real, some are just walls. This one’s all about luck and timing.
Tip Toe:A huge group of tiles is the only way forward, but most will vanish when stepped on. Patience and bravery are required to find the hidden path.
The Whirlygig:Spinning things are the theme here: spinning bars to jump over, and spinning fans to block progress. There’s some platforming involved too.
Slime Climb:A zig-zag course up a mountain with obstacles and narrow paths. Also, a sea of slime is rising, and touching it means elimination. Climb carefully, but quickly.
Fruit Chute:This one’s simple, just climb up a slope… while giant fruit is fired continuously into the crowd.
Survival
The smallest but perhaps most intense of theFall Guyscategories, these coursesprove a battle royale game doesn’t need gunsfor tense survival action.
Jump Club:Jump over a spinning bar and don’t fall off the platform.
Roll Out:Several platforms spin around a cylinder, looking like something out ofSuper Mario Galaxy. Stay on the platforms.
Block Party:Everyone is crowded onto a platform as walls and beams move towards them. Avoid the walls and wait out the time limit.
Perfect Match:There are many platforms, each with a hidden fruit that flashes briefly. When the screen shows a fruit, find a platform that matches the fruit and stay there. It’s a test of reaction time and memory.
Tail Tag:The arena is fairly small and filled with spinning hammers. Make sure you have a tail when the timer goes off. If you don’t have one, grab it from someone. If you do, stay away from everyone else. you’re able to only have one tail.
Team
Some minigames require players to work together in either 2 or 3 teams. The team with the lowest score gets eliminated. Working with other players inFall Guysis a task in and of itself, leading to manyfrustrating finish line screw-ups.
Egg Scramble:Three teams compete to place eggs in their goal “nests.” An effective strategy is to stay in an enemy nest and throw their eggs out.
Rock n' Roll:Players work to push a huge ball through an obstacle course and down a slope. On the slope, players can interfere with other teams. The last ball in gets its team eliminated.
Fall Ball:Two teams push huge balls into the enemy team’s goal. Most points at the end stay in. Straightforward, but chaotic.
Team Tail Tag:Like Tail Tag, but on a bigger field. The same rules apply.
Jinx:Grab enemy players to transfer the pink jinx cloud to them. The most jinxed team at the end loses. Think of it as reverse Tail Tag.
Hoopsie Daisy:Hoops will appear throughout the arena. Jump/dive through them to score points. This one requires good jumping skills more than anything.
Hoarders:Players must ensure they have the most balls in their team’s zone when the timer runs out. Like a larger version of Egg Scramble with bigger balls.
Final
There are three possible final mini-games. This is where the ultimate winner is decided, and whereFall Guyshackers fail spectacularly. At least, most players hope they do.
Fall Mountain:A final race up a steep slope, as huge balls rain and roll down at players. A single setback here can spell certain doom. First to grab the crown at the top wins, but it floats up and down, so time the last jump well.
Royal Fumble:Tail Tag with only one tail. Whoever has it when the timer goes out on this intricate course is the winner.
Hex-A-Gone:Perhaps the most intense game of them all. Players must traverse hexagon grids where the tiles vanish under them. There are several levels, but under all of them is unforgiving pink slime. The last one standing wins.
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockoutis available for PC and PS4.
