However, at the very least, the first half of part 1 didn’t convince fans due to its poor pacing andlack of some of the elementsthat made the first couple of seasons great. It wasn’t until the awaited arrival at Treasure Island that the show started to pick it up.

Senku in Dr. Stone

What To Expect From Cour 2

Cour 1 ended with Kohaku, Ginro, and Amaryllis' infiltration of the Petrification Kingdom and Senku plotting a way to turn things around and undo the petrification of all his comrades. Precisely, that is the course the first episode of part 2 will take. This episode is titledThe Kingdom of Science Strikes Back, just like episode 117 of the manga, and the key to achieving that isgetting Byakuya’s treasure outwithout the enemy getting wind of them.

As they bounce back thanks to the platinum collected by Senku’s father, the battle will get more intense to the point some former foes will now need to join their side, all to discover how these people got their hands on the power of petrification, as well as rescuingthe entirety of the Kingdom of Science. But, this will all lead to a massive final twist that without a doubt will leave fans eager to see what happens in Season 4.

Petrified Dr. Stone New World

What Is Left To Adapt From The Manga

After Dr. Stone New Worldends, the anime adaptationwill get into the final thirdof the manga’s story. The series written by Riichiro Inagaki came to an end in March 2022 with chapter 232. Treasure Island concludes with chapter 139, leaving almost another 100 chapters to adapt. These are divided into two sagas. The first one isThe Truth of the Petrification Saga, which consists of 4 different arcs and will occupy almost all that’s left. Its own name states will finally reveal the biggest of the mysteries, the source and reasoning behind the worldwide petrification.

The other saga, theStone to Space Saga, covers only theMoon Mission Arcand acts as the brief ending of the series. Given the amount that has been covered with each season, it’s fair to assume that the rest of the anime adaptationcould be covered in 3 more seasonsor 2 seasons and a movie, which seems like the better option. That could take up to around 2026 in order to see the end of theDr. Stoneanime if the one-season-a-year pace keeps up.
