Each game in theDragon Agefranchise has had its ownDLCthat has either expanded the story or given the players some interesting to use through the gameplay. With so many DLCs available, a player may wonder which ones are the best to download and enjoy. Here areall the DLCs in theDragon Agefranchise, ranked.
14Spoils Of The Avvar
This DLC item pack fromDragon Age: Inquisitionwas released for the third title of the franchise in 2015 where it matched nicely with the other recent DLC of the time known as Jaws of Hakkon. In this simple item pack the player was able to craft two different types of armor that could be worn by the player or their companions as well as several mounts and decorations for their Skyhold base.
Spoils of the Avvar find themselves so lowly on the list due to how little difference it makes to the player’s gameplaythough the armor and decorations were incredibly impressive.

13Spoils Of The Qunari
Another DLC item pack ofDragon Age: Inquisition, Spoils of the Qunari contained a similar amount of armor, mounts, and Skyhold decorations like that of Spoils of the Avvar. This item pack also released in 2015 and gave players armor thattheir Qunari Inquisitorswere in dire need of.
Besides this, Spoils of the Qunari was another unnecessary DLC pack that didn’t add much to the gameplay ofDragon Age: Inquisitionother than starting with better gear that the player would easily out level through advancing the story.

12All-Class Item Packs 1 & 2
Dragon Age: Inquisitionwasn’t the first game in the franchise to release packs in this way as evenDragon Age 2released smaller DLC that only contained armor. These took on the name of the All-Class Item Packs. Two of these DLCs released containing armor for Hawke as well and their companions.

As the All-Class suggested this means there was armor for each class. Releasing two of these packs meant that players had more variety in what their character would look like while adventuring around Kirkwall and the surrounding area.
11Feastday Gifts/Pranks
Fittingly released on April Fools' Day in 2010, these DLC packs were released to allow players to easily mess around with the approval rating of each of their companions in theirDragon Age: Originsparty. For a small fee a player could purchase certain gifts or pranks that could be given to their companions to change their approval of them.
While this may not give asmany cosmetic itemslike the other packs, it did have its uses to quickly befriend certain characters or simply annoy others.

10The Black Emporium
The Black Emporium was a DLC that was released for bothDragon Age 2andDragon Age: Inquisition; this unlocked an area where certain mysterious goods could be purchased as well as the freedom to customize the player’s character if they didn’t like what they had done to them originally.
This DLC gave players more freedom with their character from a storytelling perspective as they could easily add new scars or change their hair. Meanwhile, the Black Emporium itself provided much needed resources as well as powerful weapons and armor.

9The Stone Prisoner
Dragon Age: Originsgave players access to the first companion DLC available in the franchise, by purchasing this DLC players wereable to recruitthe stone prisoner, a golem also known as Shale.
However, it isn’t possible to simply recruit Shale as players first had to complete a short quest line that saw them exploring a new area known as the village of Honnleath that has unsurprisingly been taken over by Darkspawn. Once completing this quest players will have Shale as a member of the team who is filled with his own unique dialogue that can be explored by taking him on adventures.

8The Exiled Prince
Following on from the success of The Stone Prisoner,Dragon Age 2also possessed a DLC that introduced an all-new and interesting companion to Hawke’s roster. Sebastian is a noble archer with royal blood in his veins; throughout the adventures in Kirkwall players will be able to help him on his quest for revenge that makes for a fascinating side story to complete during the main campaign.

For those interested in Sebastian there is even the chance of a romance with this royal rogue though the relationship between the two is as conflicted as his quest line.
7The Descent
Dragon Age: Inquisition’sincredible story continued through the multiple DLCs that were released for the title, The Descent was one of many of these DLCs that allowed the inquisitor and their party to explore elsewhere in Thedas. In August 2015, the Inquisition was summoned to go deep underground to uncover what the cause of the earthquakes are.
In between battling darkspawn and other brutal foes,a brilliant storyis revealed that discusses the history of dwarves and the dark roads though many players left the DLC with more questions than answers when it finally concluded.

6Return To Ostagar
Learning more about the past inDragon Agehas been going on throughout many of the DLCs in the franchise;Dragon Age: Origins' DLC content for Return to Ostagar saw players finally taking their group back to the original battlefield that the game started at.
Besides finding some new armor there is also an interesting story that helps players better understand the agenda of the game’s main villain, Loghain, as well as learning more about King Cailan and his secret political agenda. Returning to Ostagar is something many players wished they could do and with this DLC that becomes possible.

5Mark Of The Assassin
While many players feel thatDragon Age 2’sconclusion was fine those that are stilllooking for more contentset after the events of the game need to look no further than the final story-driven DLC.
In Mark of the Assassin, players are introduced to a new companion known as Tallis who needs the help of Hawke and their group to steal a precious artifact from an Orlesian estate. While this may not conclude Hawke’s tale it does allow the player to see what quests Hawke is still taking part in even after the events with the Chantry.
