A number of exciting new games were revealed this June during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, both AAA and indie, and there were also some updates on a number of already highly anticipated titles. Among the indies wereCocoonfrom the lead gameplay designer ofLIMBOandINSIDE; a new narrative adventure calledAs Dusk Fallsby former Quantic Dream developers, which comes out next month; andEreban: Shadow Legacy, the first release by developer Baby Robot Games.

Sporting an appealing graphics style,Ereban: Shadow Legacyputs players in the shoes of Ayana, the last of a forgotten race. The developer describes the game as a fast-paced story-driven stealth platformer set in a world that combines tech, droids, and “mystical shadow powers.” Traveling through abandoned cities, sci-fi facilities, and ruined temples, the player will set out to discover what happened to this lost race while also fighting off an invading force called Helios and potentially saving the universe.

Ereban: Shadow Legacywill be published byRaw Fury, though it does not yet have a release date other than sometime next year. The game is being developed for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series consoles, and will have a day one launch on Xbox Game Pass.

InEreban, players have the ability to transform into a shadow that can move undetected along the walls and ground to strike with stealth at unsuspecting foes. Each level combinespuzzles with platforming, and Ayana can craft gadgets and learn new shadow abilities to help on the journey. Players can also choose to use their shadow powers to avoid combat while advancing through areas, and Baby Robot Games says that deciding to spare enemies rather than engage them will have consequences.

WhileEreban: Shadow Legacywas the only Raw Fury-published title shown at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, the company revealed two other upcoming indie titles during the Summer Game Fest just a couple days before.Routineis a sci-fi horror game by developer Lunar Softwarethat was first announced in 2013 as part of the now-defunct Steam Greenlight program. Set in an 80s-themed version of the future, the first-person title traps players on an abandoned lunar base that is facing a “mysterious threat.” The game does not yet have a release date.

American Arcadiais another upcoming game from indie publisher Raw Furythat was also announced at 2022’s Summer Game Fest. In keeping with the retro theme, this title developed by Madrid-based studio Out of the Blue Games takes place in a 70s-styled futuristic city called Arcadia. Unfortunately for the residents, they are actually unwitting contestants on the most watched reality show on the planet, and the result of a drop in ratings is death.

Erebanis currently in development for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and will release in 2023.
