Even after 730 hours of play time, oneElden Ringplayer is just now coming across a unique interaction with Melina at a Site of Grace. The world ofElden Ringis so vast with so many different characters, locations, and events that it makes sense that players are still stumbling upon new and unique moments even after playing the game for countless hours.
Elden Ringplayers are great fans of Melina, even going so far as to create a likeness of her in the game’s character creation as the Tarnished themselves and playing the game as her. Melina is, as most players have devised for themselves, the daughter of Queen Marika the Eternal, who is the current ruler of the Lands Between and the one responsible for shattering theElden Ring. She acts as a guide for the player and provides helpful information and central gameplay services that allow the player to progress.

Dedicated players are known to spend copious amounts of time in The Lands Between, likethisElden Ringplayer that spent 38 hours just trying to defeat Malenia. Redditor I_AmDaVikingNow boasts 730 hours of playtime inElden Ring, and in that time, they must have come across almost everything that the game has to offer. However, they post a video that showcases an interaction with Malenia at a Site of Grace that they have never experienced before, one in which she talks about Boc and his mother.
For those that are unaware,Boc the Seamster is an NPC inElden Ringwho, once players finish his quest line, is able to customize and alter the player character’s armor. In the video, I_AmDaVikingNow sits at a Site of Grace right after talking to Boc and Melina says that she sees Boc crying from time to time because he misses his mother, and he needs someone to tell him that he is beautiful. Then, she asks if being born of a mother would make someone behave in such a manner, which is the game’s way of casting more of a shadow of a doubt on Melina’s background and who she really is..
