A creativeElden Ringfan known as Exantheon on Reddit is transforming FromSoftware’s RPG into a trading card game inspired byMagic: The Gathering, inventing abilities for some ofElden Ring’s most popular charactersand places. This is an ongoing project, and Exantheon has made several posts sharing different cards in recent months. In their latest post, Exantheon shared a total of 14 cards, including the Cathedral of Dragon Communion, the spectral steed Torrent, as well as popular enemies such as Maliketh, Malenia, and Melania. Each card has its own cost, affinity, artwork, abilities, and flavor text. Exantheon invented a set of rules specific to thisElden Ringtrading card game, explaining some of the effects brought by specific cards such as the Frostbite or Scarlet Rot status effects.

In the comments to this Reddit post, players were impressed with the level of detail in thisElden Ringtrading card game inspired byMagic: The Gathering. They found the cards to be well balanced, with fair mana costs for their respective effects. Exantheon suggested players download the images to try playing the trading card game in real life and adjust its overall balance.
