Summary
Xur has returned again toDestiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. It’s nearly the end of the road for Season of the Witch, with fans now turning their attention to next week when Season of the Wish is unveiled in full. There’s also theunknown element of a potential Final Shape delay, which Bungie has, at the time of publishing, not provided an official update on a delay or whether this coming season is going to be a lot longer than anticipated.
For now, Bungie has continued to reveal new details about Season 23 and all of the gameplay and mechanical changes being planned. This week also confirmed various nerfs and buffs coming to subclass abilities, an update on the Fireteam Finder feature, and a list of exotic changes. Bungie has revealed that around20 Destiny 2 exotic armor pieces are being tweaked or updated, many of which have fallen out of favor with players like the Aeon Cult set.
In the meantime, Xur is back again with a whole selection of exotics and legendaries forDestiny 2players over the next few days. Where is Xur?
Over the next few days, players can head to the EDZ to find the merchant on the cliff overlooking the Winding Cove.
Fast travel to the Winding Cove zone and immediately head towards the back where the Fallen typically patrol. Climb the cliffs back here to find Xur standing on a ledge not too far from a crashed ship.
Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Xur’s role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they’re necessary toacquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.
Xur continues to sell even more gear outside his usual content. In addition to his normal exotic gear, Xur now has Legendary Weapons and Armor for sale in exchange for Legendary Shards and Glimmer.
Phoenix Protocol - Warlock chest armor
Exotic Perk:
Battle-Hearth - Kills and assists made while standing in the Well of Radiance return Super energy.
The highest roll this week belongs to the Warlock, though many players may be unhappy to see the mobility stat being the highest.
Gemini Jester - Hunter leg armor
Misdirection - Dodging disorients nearby enemies and temporarily removes their radar.
While not a top tier exotic for Hunters, the Gemini Jesters may be a bit underrated for PvP style activities thanks to its ability to mess with other players. It used to mess with players at a much higher range through walls, but even though Bungie has toned it down, it can still be a powerful ally. The other nice aspect is that the roll this week is pretty high with a 66 total.
Peregrine Greaves - Titan leg armor
Peregrine Strike - All shoulder charge abilities (Seismic Strike, Hammer Strike, or Shield Bash) deal bonus damage when activated in the air. Provides a small benefit to the airborne effectiveness stat of all weapons.
This exotic is likely going to change starting in Season 23, not only because Bungie announced a few tweaks for it related to when the exotic effects trigger, but Season 23 is also seeing changes to how shoulder charges work. Since they no longer 1 shot kill, this exotic may be in more demand thanks to the increase in damage. Unfortunately, the roll is the lowest of the trio this week, even with a solid amount of strength.

Exotic Weapon
It’s been a while but the unique heavy shot gun Tractor Cannon is in stock this weekend. The unique perk of theTractor Cannon is called Repulsor Forceand as it sounds, it makes the gun emit a powerful blast that not only pushes enemies away, it also suppresses them and makes them vulnerable to incoming damage, especially void damage. Not only that, by damaging an enemy, the weapon gets a temporary increase in speed and handling.
It may not be a common pick, but players have certainly been able to make this thing work, especially in the Crucible. With a larger than normal hit box, the ability to blast and suppress opponents off a stage, it remains a popular choice and is worth grabbing.

Hawkmoon Rolls
At this point,Xur is only selling Hawkmoon with randomized rolls, but its time is limited once Harbinger is ultimately added to the Exotic Mission Rotator and makes the hand cannon craftable. Either way, here is the roll Xur has this weekend:
