Bungie has posted three separate videos with pre-alpha footage from internal playtests on its social media platforms, which showcase the new super abilities for Warlocks, Hunters, and Titans inDestiny 2. The Warlock Solar super is called Song of Flame, that allows players to shoot multiple solar projectiles with their grenade, almost instantly regenerates their melee ability, and also empowers nearby allies’ weapons. Additionally, an unnamed Aspect was also showcased, which gives players a Solar Buddy, similar to an Arc Soul, that will keep shooting projectiles towards enemies. Hunters are getting a new Arc super called Storm’s Edge, that will let them throw knives towards enemies, which will teleport them to the knife and release a pulse that destroys enemies in their radius. Their new Aspect was also showcased, where an Arc burst will make nearby allies Amplified as well, even if they don’t have an Arc subclass equipped.

Lastly, the new Titan super is called Twilight Arsenal, that will allow players to throw Void axes towards enemies, that can also be picked up by teammates to deal damage to enemies. The playtest video also revealed how the new Aspect will let Titans turn grenades into shields, which will release a charge upon taking damage and push the enemies back when depleted. There have been some leaks that have suggested that Bungie is planning tointroduce a new subclass withDestiny 2’s The Final Shape DLC. Many players believed that this could be a Darkness subclass to have an equal number of Light and Dark subclasses, however, the Bungie showcase did not reveal any plans for the same.

With The Final Shape, Bungie is also introducing Subjugators, a new enemy type that will wield Stasis and Strand powers. Additionally, Bungie also recently revealed its decision toremove Legendary Shards fromDestiny 2, which has received mixed reactions from the players.
