Bungie officially revealed the Collector’s Edition about an hour into theDestiny 2: The Final Shapelivestream showcase. The Collector’s Edition contains several items, including an Autograph book, digital soundtrack, Vanguard Mission Dossier, Vanguard Patch, Vanguard Missions Patch, three Vanguard Mentor Figurines, and a code for an exclusive in-game emblem. However, the main event is an Architectural replica of theDestiny 1version of The Tower featuring lights and sound effects.

The three mentor figures resemble chess pieces but with elements that make them easy to identify as Cayde-6 Commander Zavala, Ikora Rey.Cayde-6 is set to return inThe Final Shape, which may add an extra layer to what Bungie’s doing with this edition. At one point in the video, it shows Cayde-6’s figure placed on the Tower, cast in dramatic lighting from the LEDs on the model. It’s unclear if the figures do anything when put on the model, but the video mentions that it features magnetic locks and other secrets.

Consumer Products Manager Chris Hausermann and Art Director Shiek Wang also discussed Bungie’s intent behindDestiny 2: The Final Shape Collector’s Edition. According to Hausermann, his team really wanted to make something that encapsulated the last ten years ofDestiny, and The Tower was the best way to do that. Wang expanded on this idea, discussing how The Tower is somewhere thatDestinyfans can call home. The originalDestiny 1Tower was destroyed during the Red War, but it remains an iconic part of the franchise.

Fans can pre-order theDestiny 2: The Final Shape Collector’s Editionfrom the Bungie Store. The Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, and Epic Games versions cost $275.Destinyfans can also pre-order a $175 pack that contains all the physical items without the game code.
