Bungie announces that players who solo Master or Legendary Lost Sectors inDestiny 2will be earning additional rewards once Season 23 begins. At launch, Lost Sectors were positioned as optional PvE style activities that players could take on to face off against large groups of enemies, a boss, and earn some rewards. Over the years, these activities have gone under many changes, now becoming one of thebetter ways to farm kills and earn newerDestiny 2exoticsprovided players can tackle them on higher difficulties.
However, Lost Sectors have come under some contention with players who feel as though the effort to solo Master or Legend versions to have a chance to earn these exotics is too low, making the entire activity not worth the trouble for so little reward. Bungie has continued to tweak exotic drop rates, though earlier this year, aDestiny 2Clan managed to calculate the exotic drop ratesafter many runs with Legend coming in at a 27% chance and Master at 37%. However, hope may be on the horrizon as Bungie announced even more player friendly changes which should make the process feel more rewarding.
In itsweekly blog post, Bungie announced that Season 23 will be making Master and Legend Lost Sectors more rewarding for solo players. After revealingForge Weapons at theDestiny 2Gunsmith, players will be able to score additional Gunsmith Engrams by finishing these Lost Sectors. The more champions that are killed, the higher the percentage chance that players will also get an actual Foundry weapon at the end as well. Bungie also outlined a schedule, rotating alongside the daily reset to help make chasing a particularDestiny 2weapon a little easier. Bungie has been pretty forthcoming so far with Season 23 reveals, as new information has been arriving just about each week. In addition to Lost Sector and Gunsmith tweaks,Bungie recently announced more updates coming to the Cruciblewith UI changes to the Director and the reintroduction of the 3v3 Quickplay node. Map Spawning has continued to see adjustments, hopfully to make it easier and less stressful to rejoin a match, and Competitive players are getting rank adjustments which now prioritize wins and losses rather than performance.
