Exotics have always been the most sought-after items inDestiny 2, but it can be difficult to balance them. The post begins by stating that exotics that refund Super energy are overpowered, specifically during the difficult endgame activities which made some of the content trivial for some players. The Super energy regained will now be capped at 50% for these Exotics, and some perks will be rebalanced to compensate for this change including Geomag Stabilizers. Shards of Galanor, Ursa Furiosa, Skull of Dire Ahamkara, Phoenix Protocol, and Stormdancer’s Brace have all been hit by this cap.
The second part of this section discusses all of the enhancements that will be coming to the less popular pieces of equipment, separated by their class. Bungie goes into very specific details regarding the improvements they are making to various Exotics such as Graviton Forfeit, The Bombardiers, Precious Scars, Verity’s Brow, and Promethium Spur. Regardless of the class, fans can look forward to trying out all of the new perks added to lesser used Exotics in Season 15. The rest of the post goes into changes that will be coming to Mods, going alongside Bungie’s sneak peek of some of thenew Mods coming in Season 15 ofDestiny 2.
It does seem like all of the changes mentioned in the latest This Week at Bungie willmakeDestiny 2more fun and balanced for all audiences. Some of the Exotics have been justifiably nerfed, while others will go through long-overdue enhancements. Bungie has mentioned that similar changes will be coming to more parts of the game, with the aim of increasing the variety and usability of different of pieces of gear in both PVP and PVE.
