A Reddit user who goes by the moniker RoboxSteven shared theirBloodborne-inspired weapon mod to a subreddit dedicated to the FromSoftware title. With some creative use ofDead Island 2’sweapon mod feature, RoboxSteven was able to recreate the Tonitrus fromBloodborne, paying tribute to one of the game’s best trick weapons. The mace-like weapon will serve as an incredibly fun tool to use for busting in some zombies' heads.
One detail that someBloodbornefans might notice is that the durability of RoboxSteven’s mod is low. This small detail is significant because the Tonitrus is a weapon with one of the lowest levels of durability in all ofBloodborne. Although one may want the strongest weapon possible to obliteratezombies inDead Island 2, hacking away with a mace weapon must be a fun feeling, and sometimes fun is just better than practicality.
After only being available for purchase for a few days,Dead Island 2has already brought an incredibly fun gaming experience to many who have been patiently awaiting the highly anticipated sequel. It’s great to see the game doing so well after years and years of difficult development and wondering if the game would ever even be released. The game has given many players what they want out of this genre; a fun, bloody action game that allows players to kill zombies in some of the most creative ways possible, and being able to create cool weapons withDead Island 2’smod system just makes the experience that much more fun.
Dead Island 2is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
