Dead Island 2is a semi-open world Zombie-slasher with hours of content, even after the main campaign. One of the first things players can do after finishing the final mission is to find the Eschaton Safe and its key.
There are 49 lockboxes inDead Island 2, each with a unique reward, including weapons, cash, blueprints, and more. Players will have to explore the surrounding areas for the keys or find specific Zombies with the lockbox keys to get their hands on the prizes. Where Is The Eschaton Staff Safe?
The Eschaton Staff Safe is inside the hidden lab on Hollywood Boulevard, where players fight a Mutator Zombie called the Reubenator. Before accessing the safe, they must finish the 24th main mission,Hollywood Ending. Players will spawn in the Hollywood Boulevard safe zone in the Re-aging Clinic after the credits end.
From there, they can go back into the lab area. There are Zombies all along the way, includinga fire-breathing Slobbernamed Metro Ticket Taker that players can snag a different key from. The Eschaton Staff Safe is in the containment lab at the front of the room, right behind the door.
Eschaton Safe Key Location
To find the Eschaton Safe Key inDead Island 2, players must venture into themetro train station on Hollywood Boulevard. The metro station is behind the helicopter landing pad where the final cutscene occurred. The Eschaton Safe Key is on a Voltaic Screamer called Eschaton Doctor. The Eschaton Doctor will spawn near the ticket station and suitcases deep within the metro station.
The Screamer’s shrieks will draw a large horde nearby, so be prepared for a fight. Although certain Slayers have perks that give them damage boosts when surrounded, firearms, explosives,and Curveball weaponsare the best way to handle the Zombies and avoid getting cornered.
The quickest way to defeat Screamers is to keep distant and hit them while they are in the middle of their roar. Voltaic Screamers also have electrical currents in their sound waves. After killing the Eschaton Doctor, it will drop the keys, and players can head back to the safe to claim their rewards.
The Eschaton Safe containsthe Superior Ranged Electrocuter Modblueprint. Weapon mods can be installed at any workbench as long as players have the blueprint and all the required ingredients.
