Update June 25, 2025, by Mina Smith: Dave the Diver was still in early access when this article was originally published. While not much has changed with this particular quest, it seemed as though some players were having trouble finding the microphone as well as the tablet, so this piece has been updated to include information on where to find this part of the translation device as well. Hopefully, this will make it easier for players to complete the Sea People’s language quest chain and get talking to the mer-people who need Dave’s help.

The Sea People’s Stone Tablet in Dave the Diver

After players of thisrestaurant simulation gamefind the Sea People again after defeating the giant squid, there will be a male Sea Person and an injured female Sea Person. The male tries to communicate with Dave, but he is unable to understand it. He’ll need to return to the boat and have a chat with Dr. Bacon. He will charge Dave with finding three items and then will make the translator for Dave once they are collected.

One of the items he will ask for is a Stone Tablet. This tablet will have the Sea People’s language on it, making it easier for him to build the translator. When asking for the Tablet, Dr. Bacon will also give a big hint on where to find it.
