While most of them tried to use them for defense, there were some who ended up inventing sick and sordid techniques to kill even more people. These dark abilities struck fear in the hearts of their enemies and helped vanquish them.
7All-Killing Ash Bones
All-Killing Ash Bone is arguably the most insane ability inNaruto. It does not have any drawbacks, and it can kill a person upon making contact. When Kaguya used it against Obito, his body began to disintegrate, and there was nothing that Naruto could do to fix him.
Kimimaro had a toned-down version of this ability, which allowed him to manipulate the bones inside his body. Kimimaro could bring out the bones in his body and use them to fight his enemies. He nearly killed Gaara and Rock Lee using Shikotsumyaku, which shows how powerful it really was.

An individual with the Rinnegan can remove the soul of a person with the help of the Human Path. Nagato tried to take Naruto’s soul in the Fourth Great Ninja War, and he would have been successful if not for Itachi’s intervention. If he had succeeded in doing so, Naruto would have died immediately.
4Tsukuyomi
Tsukuyomi is a Genjutsu of the highest level that was used by Itachi Uchiha. He gained the ability after awakening the Mangekyou Sharingan. It is considered to be one of the most powerful genjutsu in the entireNarutoseries. A person caught in Tsukuyomi experiences an immense amount of mental strain.

Even spending a few seconds in Tsukuyomi feels like an eternity. When Itachi used this ability against Kakashi, the latter ended up being hospitalized for several days. Itachi also used Tsukuyomi on Sasuke, making him relive the deaths of their parents multiple times. Given its nature, Tsukuyomi is truly a dark ability.
3Amaterasu
Amaterasu is an ability uniqueto the Mangekyou Sharinganof Itachi and Sasuke. The black flames of Amaterasu are so potent that they can overwhelm regular fire and eradicate it. These dark flames do not stop burning until the target is incinerated completely. A person struck by the flames will die in a few minutes unless they dodge them.
Itachi used Amaterasu to break free from Jiraiya’s imprisonment technique, but he could not control the flames properly. Sasuke, on the other hand, has complete mastery over this technique. He can use his other eye to control the black flames, allowing him to add them to his weapons and other attacks.
2Reaper Death Seal
The Reaper Death Seal is one of the strongest sealing jutsu inNaruto. It was usedby the Uzumaki Clan, which lived in Uzushiogakure. The Reaper Death Seal has only been used by a handful of characters. The first individual to showcase its power was Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage of the Hidden Leaf. He used this technique to seal the reanimated First and Second Hokage, along with Orochimaru’s arms.
Minato Namikaze had also learned about the Reaper Death Seal, which he utilized to stop the rampage of the Nine Tails. While this ability is extremely powerful, it also results in the death of the user.
