The studio’s efforts have paid off; the game is now in a much better state than it was at launch and has a rapidly growing fan base all over the globe. A couple of months ago,CD Projekt Red announced that there will be a sequel toCyberpunk 2077, titled Project Orion.

Piotr Nielubowicz, the CFO at CD Projekt Red, said during a recent financial call that the company is looking to speed up the development of Project Orion after therelease ofCyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. To add more clarity, the CEO Adam Kiciński stated that they have not yet begun pre-production of Project Orion and that it’s slated to enter the research phase in 2023. Adam also mentioned that the research will be undertaken by a limited team to allow other members to joinThe Witcher 4project.
According to this news, the sequel ofCyberpunk 2077is likely years away; however, the silver lining is that there is still plenty of Cyberpunk 2077 content to look forward to in the nearer future.Cyberpunkfans can look forward to the release of thePhantom Liberty DLCin 2023, which will see the return of Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand. Reeves will join forces with V once again for anotherexciting adventure in Night City.
Another exciting update is that CD Projekt Red’sWitcher 3will be getting a next-gen update on December 14. The update will be free of charge for players who already own the game, and is expected to bring visual enhancements along with a few gameplay changes.
