It’s been over six months now since the launch ofCyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red’s new sci-fi RPG.Cyberpunk 2077had a rocky launch, marred by bugs and stability issues, which caused a huge wave of anger among fans that had been hyping the game for years. Since then, CD Projekt Red has committed to improving the game and smoothing out these issues, even at the cost of pushing back planned DLC.
Earlier this year, the developer released anewCyberpunk 2077roadmapfor DLC and improvements, but fans found it disappointingly vague. All fans really learned is that free DLC is planned for the latter half of 2021, but with no further details. However, some of the existing locations within Night City might shed some light on which direction this DLC will take.

V’s Secret Mansion in Cyberpunk 2077
One of the most likely areas to feature in aCyberpunk 2077DLC is a secret mansionthat seems to belong to V, the game’s main character. The mansion is on top of a skyscraper, and can only be reached through creative use of the Kerenzikov and Reinforced Tendons Cyberware.
V spendsthe entire story ofCyberpunk 2077living in the same low-rent apartment, despite the fact that the character can make a fortune over the course of the game. On top of this, V will be treated as a Night City legend if player gets their Street Cred high enough. This dissonance, combined with the secret mansion, makes it likely that it was intended as a new housing option for V at some point. While it was clearly never used, it would make sense to incorporate it into DLC as a costly upgrade to V’s accommodation.

Subway Stations and the Red, White & Used Store
Another group of Night Citylocations that aren’t used inCyberpunk 2077’s story are the subway stations. Several well-modelled stations exist in the game but are never used, and could be opened up through new DLC.
The final unused area that could hint atCyberpunk 2077’s upcoming DLCis the Red, White, and Used store. This location can be found in Santa Domingo, not far from Claire’s garage, but is only accessible by clipping through a wall. Inside, the building is laid out like an auto-shop, and the proximity to Claire means that it might be related to her. In any case, Red, White, and Used seems a likely candidate for a new DLC mission.
CD Projekt Red has promised that there will be an assortment of free DLCs before thestory-driven expansions forCyberpunk 2077arrive. These DLCs are much more likely to incorporate existing assets and locations, meaning that players can expect unused and Easter Egg areas to have more of a purpose then. t the end of the day, it’s only a possibility but it’s easy to see how this could extend itself to more content. In the meantime, CD Projekt Red remains committed to fixing the various bugs that hampered the game’s launch.
Cyberpunk 2077is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
