Summary
A Microsoft Store listing forEA Sports College Football 25has revealed that the game will feature a 120 FPS performance option on Xbox, similar to theMaddenfranchise. It’s not yet known whetherEA Sports College Football 25’s PS5 edition will feature a similar option, although it certainly seems possible.
Earlier in February,College Football 25finally released a teaser trailerafter being announced over three years ago. The trailer, which did not show any gameplay, revealed the game’s logo and some of the teams and locations that will be featured in the anticipated title. EA also announced that a full reveal ofCollege Football 25is coming in May, which will presumably show off gameplay and various in-game features like the revamped Dynasty Mode.
As fans eagerly awaitCollege Football 25’s full reveal, Reddit user Bigkyfan10 noticed that “120 fps” is listed under the Capabilities section on the game’s Microsoft Store page. This seems to suggest that the game will feature two graphics options, one that prioritizes graphics and is capped at 60 FPS, and one that prioritizes performance and is capped at 120 FPS. This probably doesn’t come as a huge surprise to fans ofMadden, which has included these options for a couple of years. However, it’s still up in the air whetherCollege Football 25’s PS5 version will also feature a 120 FPS option.Madden’s PS5 edition doesn’t actually support 120 FPS, so it’s possible thatCollege Football 25will follow the same path.

EA also revealed that real-life coaches will not be represented in-game, unfortunately. For now, they will be replaced by generic characters, but the company confirmed that it’s working on ways to allow coaches to opt-in to futureCollege Footballgames.
