In mid-2019,Red Dead Onlineofficially launched for players worldwide. This had come several months after the initial game’s release, and it still maintains a dedicated fan base to this day. While content updates for the game significantly slowed down as years went on, players continue to find new ways to makeRed Dead Onlineentertaining and have even found a way to cross it over withThe Batmanin a funny little way.

Earlier this year,The Batmanwas released in theaters to mostly positive reviews and a strong box office haul. The film would go on to make over $770M worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing solo Batman film to be released sinceThe Dark Knight Risescame out in 2012. Despite having been announced at CinemaCon earlier this year, asequel toThe Batmanhas yet to be officially greenlit, likely due to the ongoing situation at Warner Bros Discovery. However, it now appears that there areRed Dead Onlineplayers who were fans of the recent film.

In the past, the game’s fans made some crazy tributes to their favorite franchises. One fan, for example, createdWater White fromBreaking BadinRed Dead Online, while others recreated the franchise’s villainous clan, the Salamanca family. This fan ofThe Batman, however, did something a bit simpler. In a recent post, Reddit user yaesthete revealed their own little tribute to the film. Before the video starts the player apparently drew the Bat-Signal with moonshine. Once the video begins, yaesthete shoots the signal, igniting the moonshine and revealing the iconic image in flame while Nirvana’s “Something In The Way” plays over the footage.

Despite the ongoing situation at Warner Bros Discovery, most evidence seems to indicate thatThe Batmanfranchise will continue. DirectorMatt Reeves has signed a new deal and Warner Bros Discoverand a new writer has been added to the sequel. Hopefully, this means that fans of bothThe Batmanfranchise andRed Dead Onlinewill continue to find ways to cross the two properties over in unique ways.

WhileRed Dead Onlinehas maintained a passionate fanbase, the game’s online mode did not quite take off the same wayGrand Theft Auto Onlinedid. Development ofRed Dead Onlinehas since begun to wind downas Rockstar’s attention begins to shift toward the production ofGrand Theft Auto 6. But, as videos like this have indicated,Red Dead Online’s fans are still trying to keep the game alive.

Red Dead Redemption 2is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
