Operation: Fleetcom is the latest in along line of updates toHalo Infiniteand is full of new features and gameplay tweaks that players won’t want to miss. However, one of the update’s most exciting and unexpected additions is the inclusion of VIP and Headhunter, two classicHalogame modes. VIP is a game mode that has not been sinceHalo 3,tasking two teams of four with guarding their own VIP while attempting to take out the opposing team’s VIP.

Also included in Operation: Fleetcom is Headhunter, a mode that was first introduced back inHalo: Reach, the lastHalogame to be developed byrenowned video game studio Bungie. In Headhunter matches, players fight to collect and score the most flaming skulls. Skulls are dropped by players and added up, but are lost upon death. Much like VIP, Headhunter has been absent from the rest of theHalofranchise since its debut. The game mode was quite popular and unique, as it challenged players to be safe and play slow or make bigger, riskier moves to secure a quicker victory as they racked up kills and skulls. Not many details are known aboutHalo Infinite’s take on this classic game mode, as it will arrive at a later date.

343 promises players that “there’s plenty more on the horizon” with this newestHalo Infiniteoperation, though Operation: Fleetcom will certainly encourage longtime fans to hop in and test out these returning game modes. Also in the pipeline are updates to the game’s sandbox, as well as changes toHalo Infinite’s Forge modeand other quality live updates. Information on these upcoming changes is soon to come, with Operation: Fleetcom rolling out inHalo Infiniteon Jun 19, 2025.
