Call of Duty: Warzoneplayers have been dealing with numerous bugs since Caldera launched. Unfortunately, it seems like another issue has joined the list, with a new visual glitch makingCall of Duty: Warzonelook like a much older FPS.

Call of Duty: Warzoneplayers are no stranger to visual glitches, with thedemon texture bugrecently running rampant once again. An issue that started in the Verdansk map, the bug returned alongside Caldera, evolving in a few ways. Instead of just impacting weaponry, the demon texture bug can now turn players and entire buildings into spiky black messes. While the one upside to the bug is that it only impacts a few textures at a time, the newest visual glitch makes the entire game look like it released on N64.

Call of Duty: Warzoneplayerand Reddit user Lowiizy shared a clip of the bug in action, and it is certainly a memorable sight. Most of the textures are completely flat or nonexistent, with details and entire sections of buildings removed. The dirt is just a flat brown texture, while trees feature some green circles on top to resemble leaves. Overall, the map is almost unrecognizable, and Lowiizy was quick to point out that they were playing on the powerful Xbox Series X. Given how well the console is meant to run games, this should not be happening.

While the bug may be tied to something other than the outdated last gen versions of the game, players are likely to use this clip as proof that a nativePS5 and Xbox Series X port forCall of Duty: Warzoneis necessary. While the game can be played on the two next gen consoles, gamers are essentially loading up the PS4 and Xbox One versions, limiting their draw distance and dealing with a game that performs worse than it does on PC.

While the player does manage to take down a few of their opponents in the clip, the footage makes this version ofCall of Duty: Warzonelook almost unplayable. Just like theGulag glitch that makes guns invisible, the player’s weapon is nowhere to be seen. In the comments, players were quick to make comparisons between the bugged match ofCall of Duty: Warzoneand other games. Beautiful_Piccolo_51 compared it to Roblox, while heftylefty1988 said it looks like Lowiizy is playing Goldeneye. Reddit user pukkiepo believes N64 games looked better, however.

With the suggested solution of disabling live texture download not working for Lowiizy, it seems like console gamers will need to wait forRaven Softwareto patch the issue. For those who are nostalgic for the N64 era of video games, though, this bug could be more entertaining than frustrating.

Call of Duty: Warzoneis available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
