The in-game store forCall of Duty: Modern Warfareand theWarzonebattle royale is always full of interesting cosmetics that players can purchase with COD Points (CP). Sometimes these cosmetics shoot for realism, and other times they are just bizarre, which is one way to describe the new Anime Express bundle that’s currently available to purchase in theCall of Duty: Modern Warfarestore.
The Anime Express bundle inCall of Duty: Modern Warfarecomes with the J-Pop Pop submachine gun, the Cuteness Reload shotgun, and the Faithful Companionweapon charm, which is literally a body pillow with an anime character on it. Those that purchase theCall of Duty: Modern WarfareAnime Express bundle will get more than just a waifu pillow, though; the bundle also includes a special anime-themed “Senpai” vehicle skin.

TheSenpai vehicle skinand all the rest of the Anime Express bundle content is available toCall of Duty: Modern Warfareplayers for 1600 CP. The main way players can get CP in the game is by purchasing it through microtransactions, but it’s also possible to get some CP by leveling up the Battle Pass.
However, leveling up theCall of Duty: Modern WarfareSeason 3 Battle Passis not really an effective way to get enough CP to purchase content from the store. Really the CP in the Battle Pass is so players can purchase the next season’s Battle Pass without having to buy more microtransactions. This encourages players to keep playingCall of Duty: Modern Warfareregularly, because if they don’t, then they may fail to get enough CP to get the next Battle Pass for free.
Moving forward,Call of Duty: Modern Warfarefans can expect Activision to keep funneling new cosmetic bundles into the game. After all,Activision made almost $1 billion on microtransactionsalone in the first quarter of 2020, so it wouldn’t make sense for the company to stop pushing them now.
On the bright side,Call of Duty: Modern Warfaremicrotransactions are not nearly as offensive as they are in other games. Any new guns, like the recently released Bruen MK9 LMG, can be earned through normal gameplay, or are part of the free version of the Battle Pass. The cosmetics provide no in-game advantage and sinceInfinity Wardis releasing new content forCall of Duty: Modern Warfareon a regular basis, many fans are OK with the game’s use of microtransactions.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
